BALLER MOVE: Add in Deep / AL-Only Leagues
ANALYSIS: With approximately a week left before we’re at the season’s half way point, Wei-Yin Chen has won 7 games for the Baltimore Orioles. He's only allowed 9 ER in his last 5 starts while putting up a 23:4 K:BB ratio so he's on something of a roll. Overall, Chen is an average starting pitcher but is also but very reliable. After 2 years on this side of the Pacific, it is quite clear that the Taiwanese native can reliably generate an ERA below 4.00, a WHIP of between 1.25 and 1.30 and a K/9 of around 7.0. Chen doesn’t hit much more than 90 MPH but has exceptional control with his BB/9 rate of 1.42, which helps offset a low K rate. Due to his consistency he's solid for AL-only leagues or deep leagues, but while he's on a roll you can give him a look as a stream option in any league depending on match-ups.
