The Daily NBA Fantasy Shopper: NBA Expert Picks for DraftStreet - 12/03/2013

Russell WestbrookPG: Russell Westbrook ($16,704): After sitting out a game last week and then struggling the following game, Westbrook again looks to be in rhythm.  In his past two games he has 53 points, 12 assists and 8 steals.  Tonight he gets a Sacramento team that allows 100.8 points a game on 47% shooting from the floor.  With the Kings focused on stopping Kevin Durant, Westbrook could be the one who shines tonight.

SG: Arron Afflalo ($13,252): Afflalo continues to be the best player on the Magic as he extended his streak of scoring over 16 points to 12 games last night.  Even better news is that tonight the Magic play the worst defensive team in the NBA as they visit the 76ers.  Philadelphia gives up a whopping 110 points a game and allows teams to shot over 38% from deep on them.  All of this adds up to a huge game for Afflalo—he is a must-own tonight.

SF: Evan Turner ($14,744): Even though Turner is part of this atrocious Sixers defense, his offensive game has never been better.  This year, the small forward is averaging 21 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists a game.  He has double-doubles in three of his last six games and seems to be flourishing in his forward role.  The Magic are not the sieve on defense that Philadelphia is, but they are also not particularly good.  Expect the scoring to extent well into the 100s for both teams, which means that Turner should have a strong performance.

PF: Jared Sullinger ($11,651): With players going down all around him and finally finding his own health, Sullinger has taken advantage of his new starting role.  He has posted 20-point 10-rebound games in two of his last three, against pretty solid competition.  Sullinger should be excited about this back-to-back with the Bucks, as he posted 21 points and 14 rebounds on Saturday against Milwaukee.  Given that Kelly Olynyk is still out, Sullinger should continue to see huge minutes, and having just dominated the Bucks, he should have the confidence to post another monster double-double.

C: Kosta Koufos ($11,974): Koufos has been brilliant over the last three games in the absence of Marc Gasol.  The Grizzlies’ center has posted 37 rebounds in his three starts, as well as 25 points and an outstanding 8 blocks.  With Zach Randolph also dinged up, the team has little depth up front, permitting Koufos to log over 35 minutes a game this past week.  Tonight, he faces a rebounding-challenged Suns team that allows opponents to rebound over 27% of their misses on the offensive end.  A line of 10 points, 15 rebounds and 5 blocks is not out of the question tonight.

U: Brandon Knight ($8,800): Bucks fans have waited for nearly six weeks to get their new point guard fully healthy, and now that he is, the dividends are starting to pay off.  In his last two games, Knight has posted 37 points, 10 assists and 12 rebounds.  With only veteran Luke Ridnour and rookie Nate Wolters behind him, coach Larry Drew should continue to give Knight huge minutes.  For this price, Knight is a near must-own.

U: Tyler Hansbrough ($7,265): With word this week that the Raptors would try out a new lineup, many wondered who would benefit.  After one game, the answer seems to be Hansbrough.  He started in place of Amir Johnson, and although he only had 7 points and 5 rebounds, he was given 34 minutes.  If he can replicate his Friday performance in which he posted 8 points and 12 rebounds, he could be a great source of cheap fantasy points.  Even though he is not extraordinarily skilled, if he continues to get over 30 minutes a game, Hansbrough can be a solid fantasy player, especially at this bargain-basement price.

I wish you the best of luck in all your Tuesday Fanduel and DraftStreet Daily League Fantasy Basketball selections!
