In this space, we will highlight recommended fantasy football waiver wire pickups to consider as candidates for Week Two of the 2013 fantasy football season, and your fantasy football rosters.  If your weekly auctions have run, then these QBs might be hanging around the waiver wire as free agents. Let's win some leagues!

Waiver Wire Pickups for Wide Receiver and Defense - 2013 Fantasy Football Week 2

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Terrelle Pryor

BALLER MOVE: Add Immediately (All Leagues)
ANALYSIS: Raiders fan should be thanking the late Al Davis for believing in Pryor's ability to lead a team. If he keeps up his performance he may singly handedly take the Raiders out of the Jadeveon Clowney sweepstakes. His value is in his running game - 13 rushes for 112 yards parallel the impact RGIII and Michael Vick have in games. Week 2 against Jacksonville, a team that let Alex Smith walk all over them, could not be a better matchup. A similar game of 200 yards passing and 80+ rushing yards is very possible.

Jay Cutler

BALLER MOVE: Add Immediately (All Leagues)
ANALYSIS: Cutler had a very respectable Week One performance versus a good Bengals defense, going 21-for-33 with 242 yards, two TD and one INT.  He wasn't sacked once, which is big positive sign considering the Bengals’ front four.  It means that Cutler was able to get rid of the ball and that Chicago’s O-line is much improved.  In Week Two, Cutler gets a well-below-average Vikings' defense and he should have no trouble carving them up with a little help from Brandon Marshall, Martellus Bennett and company.  If you’re looking at Bradford, Dalton, Schaub and guys like that for your Week Two starting QB, then Cutler should be in the conversation as well, perhaps even the favorite of the bunch.

Sam Bradford

BALLER MOVE: Stash (All Leagues)
ANALYSIS: Sam Bradford, former #1 pick, is finally looking like the players the Rams expected him to be when they drafted him. He put up 299 yards passing against a solid Cardinals secondary, while leading the Rams to 14 points in the 4th quarter for a come from behind 27-24 win. Bradford did a commendable job integrating new TE Jared Cook and WR Tavon Austin, accumulating more than 150 yards from those two. Eight home games in comfortable dome conditions help even more, and it’s not until December when the Rams play in San Francisco and Seattle that Bradford will have any games in questionable weather conditions.

Geno Smith

BALLER MOVE: Continue Scouting
ANALYSIS: Smith is coming off an impressive debut where he passed for 256 yard and rushed for an additional 47 yards on 6 scrambles. Plenty of skeptics expected more than 1 INT in 38 pass attempts, but he did a decent job avoiding the mistakes that plagued him in preseason. His scrambling ability makes him a redzone rushing TD candidate too. The Pats are mighty but they didn’t shutdown Bills rookie QB E.J. Manuel, which bodes well for Smiths' chances. And if the Jets are as bad as advertised they should be throwing the ball in the 2nd half which gives Smith a shot to get to 300 yards.
