Dallas Goedert Back for Week 5 Against Jaguars
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert (knee) has been cleared to return in Week 5 against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London on Sunday, according to John Clark of NBC Sports. Goedert sprained his right MCL in the Week 2 win over the Tennessee Titans and has missed the last two games as a result. With top receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) missing a second straight game and Dontayvion Wicks (hamstring) also banged up, the 31-year-old Goedert could be targeted heavily on Sunday in his return. Additionally, star running back Saquon Barkley (hamstring) will sit out of the international game. In the season-opening win over the division-rival Washington Commanders, Goedert was a big part of the passing game, catching four of his five targets for 77 yards and two touchdowns. Now that Goedert is back and we know that both Smith and Barkley will be inactive, Goedert will quickly return to the TE1 radar in fantasy.

DeVonta Smith Officially Ruled Out for Week 5
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) has officially been ruled out for Sunday's Week 5 game in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to NBC Sports' John Clark. Smith was seen doing work on a rehab field on Thursday and Friday, but it was not enough to earn him the green light to play, and he will miss a second straight game with his hamstring injury. He is a must-start when active as Philly's clear WR1, but he must remain on the bench for another week. Smith's next chance to play will come next Sunday in Week 6 against the Carolina Panthers. Through his first three games in 2026, he has 19 catches on 27 targets for 235 yards and a touchdown. Dontayvion Wicks (hamstring) is also banged up for the Eagles, so rookie first-rounder Makai Lemon and Darius Cooper could be quarterback Jalen Hurts' top two receivers this weekend across the pond. The good news for Hurts is that he will be getting starting tight end Dallas Goedert (knee) back after a two-week absence.

Saquon Barkley Ruled Out for Week 5
After not practicing all week, Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 5 against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, according to John Clark of NBC Sports. Backup Tank Bigsby (abdomen) also had core-muscle surgery and is on Injured Reserve, which means that Will Shipley is set up to handle the bulk of the backfield duties this weekend against Jacksonville. Former Houston Texans RB Dameon Pierce was added to the active 53-man roster this week and will help handle change-of-pace duties on Sunday in his first game with Philly. Barkley suffered a hamstring injury in last week's loss to the Los Angeles Rams, but the good news is that his injury is not believed to be long-term, so hopefully he will have a shot to return for Week 6 tilt at home against the Carolina Panthers next Sunday. The 29-year-old is still searching for his first touchdown of the year, but he is averaging a healthy 5.1 yards per carry and has 182 rushing yards on his 36 rushing attempts through four games. Shipley should at least be considered an RB3/flex against the Jags.

Marvin Harrison Jr. Still a "Big Part" of Offensive Plans
Arizona Cardinals general manager Monti Ossenfort said that struggling wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. "is a big part of what we're doing. With respect to all the stuff that is written out there, we're excited to move forward and really not paying any credence to any of that," according to Tyler Drake of Arizona Sports. There has been trade chatter surrounding Harrison early in his third NFL season after he has struggled to get anything going in 2026. The 24-year-old former fourth overall pick only has five catches through four games for 85 yards and one touchdown. Harrison has not gone over 8.2 fantasy points so far, although he did have a season-high 11.4 target share in the Week 4 loss to the New York Giants. The Cardinals continue to say that Harrison is a key part of their offense, but what we have seen so far this year does not back up their stance. The former Ohio State star has hit rock bottom in terms of his fantasy value so far this year and will not be a recommended flex option in Week 5 at home against the Detroit Lions. At this point, it seems like a change of scenery might help more than anything.

Malik Nabers Will Be "Ready to Play" Sunday
After missing Wednesday's practice and logging limited participation on Thursday, New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers (knee) is trending in the right direction, with head coach John Harbaugh telling reporters on Friday that his Pro Bowl wideout will be ready to play in a Week 5 divisional clash with the Commanders. Nabers suffered a devastating leg injury in Week 4 of the 2025 season, and while he has played in all four contests of 2026, this was the first week since Week 1 that he returned to the injury report with soreness in his surgically repaired knee. Coming off his best performance of the young season, a six-catch, 112-yard outing against the Cardinals in which he caught his first touchdown of the year, Nabers is RotoBaller's WR12 for Week 5.

Lamar Jackson Ruled Out for Week 5
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (ankle) has been ruled out of the team's Week 5 matchup with the Falcons, according to head coach Jesse Minter and The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec. Jackson exited the team's Week 4 win over the Titans after just one half but still finished as the QB11 for the week. The two-time MVP struggled through injuries in 2025 and will now miss the first game of his ninth season. Veteran quarterback Tyler Huntley, who completed eight of nine passes for 63 yards after coming on in relief, will draw his first start since a high-scoring Week 17 win over the Packers in 2025. Huntley has proven capable of leading the Ravens in the past, but the fantasy ceilings of stars Zay Flowers and Derrick Henry are undoubtedly lowered with him under center.

Terry McLaurin "Looked Good" During Friday's Practice
Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin (hamstring) has missed the first two practices of the week while dealing with the hamstring injury that kept him out of the team's Week 4 loss to the Colts, but team senior writer Zach Selby said he was present Friday and "looked good." The Commanders will make a final injury designation for the two-time Pro Bowler later in the day, but McLaurin appears to be trending in the right direction for Sunday's Week 5 matchup with the Giants. Quarterback Jayden Daniels (elbow) has already been cleared to play, while fellow wideout Stefon Diggs (hamstring) has been ruled out with a hamstring injury of his own. If McLaurin can suit up and handle close to a full workload, he makes for a high-upside flex play as the top option in the receiving game.

Stefon Diggs Ruled Out for Week 5
Washington Commanders wide receiver Stefon Diggs (hamstring), who has been unable to practice this week while dealing with a hamstring injury, has been ruled out for the team's Week 5 matchup with the Giants. Diggs saw sporadic usage through the first half of a Week 4 loss to the Colts before finding more involvement in a pass-heavy second half, finishing the day with 35 yards on five receptions in a game missed by Terry McLaurin (hamstring). McLaurin, limited again this week by his own hamstring injury, reportedly looked good in his return to practice on Friday and is trending in the right direction to suit up on Sunday, along with quarterback Jayden Daniels.

Rachaad White Cleared to Play Sunday
Washington Commanders running back Rachaad White (shoulder) missed the team's Week 4 loss to the Colts and has been a limited practice participant to begin the week, but according to team senior writer Zach Selby, he has been cleared to play in a Week 5 divisional clash with the Giants. White has averaged 10.3 opportunities per game, but in his absence, veteran running back Austin Ekeler stepped in less than a week after signing with the team and handled six opportunities out of the gate. With Jacory Croskey-Merritt still leading the backfield, the division of labor between White and Ekeler bears monitoring, though neither makes for a viable start in a game that could see fewer receiving opportunities than the pass-heavy script Washington was forced into a week ago in London.

Jayden Daniels Officially Cleared to Play in Week 5
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels (elbow) has officially been cleared to play in Week 5 against the division-rival New York Giants on Sunday, according to Zach Selby of the team's official website. Daniels is making his return to the Commanders' offense after missing the last two games due to a dislocated left (non-throwing) elbow that he suffered in the Week 2 loss to the division-rival Dallas Cowboys. Unfortunately, the 25-year-old will not have one of his top receivers, Stefon Diggs (hamstring), available this weekend, and he could also be missing Terry McLaurin (hamstring), who also did not play last weekend. The signal-caller's return is coming at a good time for Washington, though, after veteran backup Marcus Mariota (knee) suffered a sprained MCL in the Week 4 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in London. If McLaurin is ruled out for a second straight week, fantasy managers may want to consider fading Daniels and leaving him on the bench for another week as his receiving weapons get healthier.

Kyle Monangai Won't Play in Week 5
Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson said that running back Kyle Monangai (toe, thumb) will not play on Sunday against the division-rival Green Bay Packers in Week 5, according to Sean Hammond of The Chicago Tribune. Monangai is currently wearing a walking boot and is considered "week-to-week," but ESPN's Courtney Cronin reports that he is not a candidate to land on Injured Reserve. "We'll see how long that injury sidelines him," Johnson said. The head coach said at the beginning of this week that Monangai's thumb injury was not serious, but now he is dealing with a turf-toe injury and could miss multiple weeks. The 24-year-old Monangai has had a strong start to his second year in the NFL, rushing for 324 yards and three touchdowns on 60 carries (5.4 yards per attempt) while adding five receptions (five targets) for 39 yards as a receiver. With Monangai out for at least this week, D'Andre Swift will have clear RB1 upside in an offense that will likely continue to lean on the ground game with starting quarterback Caleb Williams (hamstring) still out. Roschon Johnson will take Monangai's place in a chance-of-pace role, but he will not be a realistic starter in most fantasy lineups. Monangai's next chance to play will be in Week 6 on Sunday, Oct. 18, against the Atlanta Falcons on the road.

Ashton Jeanty Not Seen at Practice on Friday
Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty (ankle, foot) was not on the practice field during the media-viewing period on Friday, according to Ryan McFadden of ESPN. Jeanty was limited on Thursday with an ankle/foot injury. Suddenly, Jeanty's status for Week 5 on the road against the New England Patriots is in question. Fantasy managers looking for an upgrade at a flex spot this weekend might want to grab rookie backup Mike Washington Jr. quickly if he is available on your league's waiver wire. He is currently rostered in 34% of Yahoo leagues. Fantasy managers will want to check back on Jeanty's official status on Friday's final injury report, but as of right now, it looks like he is trending as questionable to play. The 22-year-old first-round pick last year from Boise State would be a big loss for Vegas' offense as they look to bounce back from their first loss of the season. Through four games, Jeanty has seen plenty of volume, carrying the football 78 times for 264 yards (3.4 yards per attempt) and no touchdowns on the ground. Jeanty has added 19 receptions for 165 yards and two receiving TDs. Prepare for the possibility that Jeanty will not be available in Boston.

Tee Higgins Set for Questionable Tag for Week 5
Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said that "we'll see" with wide receiver Tee Higgins (groin, neck) in regards to his Week 5 status against the Miami Dolphins, according to The Athletic's Paul Dehner Jr. The good news is that Higgins was able to practice some on Friday, but he will be listed as questionable on Friday's final injury report. Fellow star wideout Ja'Marr Chase (concussion) is also questionable to play this weekend, so the Bengals could be without their two best receivers in South Beach. The 27-year-old Higgins is a must-start in all fantasy football leagues when he is active, even in the shadow of Chase. Through four games in 2026, Higgins has 25 receptions for 401 yards and one touchdown. Quarterback Joe Burrow's Week 5 value hinges on whether one or both of Higgins and Chase can play this weekend. If one or both of Higgins or Chase cannot play, Dohnte Meyers and Mitchell Tinsley could have massive roles alongside tight end Mike Gesicki. Hopefully, fantasy managers will have a better picture of Higgins' Week 5 status by Saturday evening.

Ja'Marr Chase Will be Questionable for Week 5
Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said that star wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase (concussion) is still in the league's concussion protocol, according to Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic. Chase was able to practice again on Friday, but he will be listed as questionable to play on Sunday in Week 5 against the Miami Dolphins. It does not make fantasy managers' decisions any easier this weekend, and the 26-year-old All-Pro pass-catcher could end up being a true game-time decision on Sunday morning. Hopefully, we will have some clarification on his status by Saturday night. With fellow wideout Tee Higgins (groin) also questionable to play, the Bengals could be without their top two pass-catchers on the road against the winless Dolphins. Chase already has 21 catches for 212 yards and three touchdowns in the first four games of the season and will be a must-start in fantasy lineups if he is cleared from the concussion protocol by Sunday. Tight end Mike Gesicki's weekly value is trending up with both Chase and Higgins up in the air to play.

D'Andre Swift Should be Able to Go in Week 5
Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift (knee, hip) is dealing with multiple injuries, and after returning to practice on Thursday, the belief is that he should be able to go in a big divisional clash in Week 5 this Sunday against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. Power backfield mate Kyle Monangai (toe, thumb) is dealing with turf toe and a thumb injury. After missing two practices so far this week, Monangai looks to be the one who is on the wrong side of questionable to play this weekend. If Monangai is ruled out for Sunday's contest, Swift will essentially be a must-start in all traditional fantasy football leagues, while Roschon Johnson would jump up into the RB2 role to help spell Swift. The 27-year-old Swift has carried the ball 69 times already for 311 yards and three touchdowns across four games in 2026, adding 10 catches for 84 yards through the air. Even with starting quarterback Caleb Williams (hamstring) missing another week, Swift will have clear RB1 upside this weekend if Monangai is inactive.

Carnell Tate Good to Go for Week 5
Tennessee Titans head coach Robert Saleh said that rookie first-round wide receiver Carnell Tate (back) is good to go to play in Week 5 against the division-rival Houston Texans on Sunday, according to Turron Davenport of ESPN. Tate had some random back tightness on Thursday and was listed as limited in practice, but Saleh assures that he is fine. The young wideout should be removed from Friday's final injury report heading into the weekend, so fantasy managers can keep him in their lineups after his big game in Week 4 in the loss to the Baltimore Ravens, when he caught nine of his 12 targets for 145 yards. Tate is still searching for his first career NFL touchdown, but it is becoming clear that he has the most fantasy upside of any Titans receiver. The 21-year-old fourth overall pick in April's draft is going to have peaks and valleys, though, in his first NFL season with a second-year quarterback, Cam Ward, who is still trying to figure things out. Consider Tate an intriguing low-end WR2 with boom-or-bust tendencies this weekend against the Texans.

Stefon Diggs Not Spotted at Friday's Practice
Washington Commanders wide receiver Stefon Diggs (hamstring) wasn't seen on the field during Friday's media viewing, according to Tashan Reed of The Washington Post. Diggs has been listed as a non-participant both days this week, although he did some work off to the side with athletic trainers Thursday. His availability for Sunday's matchup with the Giants is becoming a real concern. The veteran has caught 18 passes for 170 yards and three touchdowns through four games, but hasn't found the end zone since Week 2 and has totaled just 68 receiving yards over his last two outings. Terry McLaurin (hamstring) also missed practice Wednesday and Thursday, though he was spotted on the field Friday. Washington expects to have Jayden Daniels (elbow) back under center, but could be shorthanded at receiver. Diggs' official Friday designation has yet to be announced.

Caleb Douglas Unlikely to Play Despite Expected Practice Return
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Caleb Douglas (ankle) is expected to get back on the practice field Friday, but head coach Jeff Hafley still considers him "unlikely" to play Sunday against Cincinnati, according to ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques. Douglas hasn't practiced since hurting his ankle against San Francisco in Week 2 and has already missed two games. The rookie made a strong first impression with five catches for 94 yards in his NFL debut against Las Vegas, then added two receptions for 19 yards before leaving the following week's game with the injury. He's been sidelined ever since. Getting some work in Friday would be a positive step, even if he isn't quite ready for game action. Miami has its bye in Week 6, so Douglas could have another two weeks to recover before the Dolphins face the Jets on October 25.

Terry McLaurin Makes First Appearance on Practice Field This Week
Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin (hamstring) was spotted on the practice field Friday for the first time this week, according to Tashan Reed of The Washington Post. McLaurin missed both Wednesday and Thursday's sessions, so his appearance is encouraging, although it's unclear whether he actually took part in drills. He suffered the injury during practice last Friday and wound up missing Washington's Week 4 loss to Indianapolis. McLaurin has 10 receptions for 141 yards and a touchdown through three games, with six of those catches coming against Seattle in Week 3. The Commanders are expecting Jayden Daniels (elbow) back under center Sunday against the Giants, but their receiving corps remains banged up. Stefon Diggs (hamstring) has also missed practice time this week. McLaurin's official Friday designation will be important in determining whether he has a chance to return this weekend.

Sean Tucker's Role Remains Uncertain
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Sean Tucker isn't necessarily headed for more touches despite head coach Todd Bowles expressing interest in getting him more involved earlier this week. Asked Friday whether Tucker would see more work, Bowles said the backfield distribution will depend on who has the hot hand and could vary from game to game, according to Pewter Report. Tucker carried five times for 18 yards in Thursday's win over Dallas, including an unsuccessful fourth-and-goal attempt from the 1-yard line. He scored his first touchdown of the season against Green Bay just four days earlier, although he had only three carries in that game. Bucky Irving was the clear standout Thursday, rushing for 165 yards and a touchdown on 21 attempts while adding another score through the air. Bowles acknowledged there wasn't much reason to take Irving off the field while he was playing so well. Tucker has just eight carries through five games, making him difficult to trust in fantasy lineups without a more consistent role.

Tyrek Hill's Legal Issues Complicate Return to NFL
Free-agent wide receiver Tyreek Hill (knee) may have a harder time returning to the NFL than anticipated. ProFootballTalk reports that Hill's ongoing civil trial could complicate his efforts to sign with a team, even after agent Drew Rosenhaus suggested earlier this week that a deal might happen within days. Hill testified Thursday in the case brought by his estranged wife, Keeta Vaccaro, acknowledging that he pushed her into a wall during an argument while denying her broader allegations of physical abuse. The NFL's Personal Conduct Policy investigation remains active, with no discipline announced. Kansas City has reportedly shown interest in bringing Hill back, but there's still no agreement in place. The 32-year-old hasn't played since suffering a serious knee injury in September 2025. He's worth monitoring as a potential stash in deeper fantasy leagues, although his playing status remains uncertain even if he signs with a team.
