Bucks Select Nate Ament With First-Round Pick Acquired From Miami
The Milwaukee Bucks drafted Tennessee forward Nate Ament with the 13th overall pick, a selection acquired in the Giannis Antetokounmpo trade this week, in the 2026 NBA Draft. Ament joins 10th overall pick Brayden Burries as Milwaukee's first-round picks. Similar to the All-Star he's replacing, Ament enters the NBA with great size (6'10", 7'0" wingspan) and plenty of potential, but had up-and-down numbers in his lone season in Tennessee. The 19-year-old averaged 16.6 points, but only shot 39% from the field. His development over the summer and the front office's further roster restructuring decisions will determine how much playing time Ament gets in his debut campaign.
