Welcome back, RotoBallers! Major League Baseball has another busy midweek schedule lined up for Wednesday, with seven games in the afternoon and another seven under the lights. The Twins and Rangers get a rare Wednesday off day in the middle of their series, but the other 28 teams in Major League Baseball will be in action with seven games in the afternoon and seven more under the lights Wednesday night. In this post, we'll take a look at the home run prop market and try to find a few places where players are set up to go yard throughout the day's action. Today's four picks will each be batting from the left side against right-handed starting pitchers who have struggled against left-handed hitters this season.
While Coors Field is quiet, Sutter Health Park will host the last game of the day with a very homer-friendly forecast. The wind is also forecast to be blowing out at Wrigley Field and Fenway Park, so the slate contains several great environments along with some great matchups to attack. Make sure to check out the RotoBaller Discord, where you can find input from all our experts, which could include more home run spots as well as some great strikeout picks.
Below, you'll be able to read about my favorite home run props from MLB games on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. MLB Prop Bets - Today's Home Run Prop Picks (6/17/2026)
Jarren Duran OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+475 theScoreBET)
The Red Sox are hosting the Blue Jays in a matchup of disappointing AL East foes this week at Fenway, and on Wednesday night, Max Scherzer will take the mound for the Blue Jays, making his seventh start of the season. Mad Max has a scary 10.23 ERA on the year and has served up nine homers in just 22 innings of work. Opposing lefties have hammered six of those long balls and are hitting .322 against Scherzer with a .339 ISO, a .450 wOBA, and a 13% barrel rate.
The Red Sox are lefty-heavy, so a few options make sense from their lineup, but Jarren Duran has been one of the team's hottest hitters and comes in with good momentum to Wednesday's game after providing the Red Sox only run on Tuesday with this homer.
The Boston Red Sox will not be shutout tonight.

Duran has 12 long balls on the season, with eight of those homers coming in his last 23 games. He is hitting .270 over that span with a .290 ISO and a .369 wOBA. Over that span, he has a 15.6% barrel rate, which is a marked improvement over the 8.4% barrel rate he had up to that point in the season.
In their past head-to-head meetings, Durran has homered while going 1-for-6 against Scherzer. With all the issues Scherzer has had against lefties this season, Durran stands out as a good play at Fenway this Wednesday.
Bryan Reynolds OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+400 theScoreBET)
Let's be sure to hit the West Coast for a stop in Sacramento in Wednesday's home run props. The Pirates are visiting the Athletics and will take on Aaron Civale, who is expected to be reinstated from the 15-day injured list after being sidelined by a shoulder issue.
He'll be welcomed back by a red-hot Bryan Reynolds, who has caught fire over the last 20 games, going 26-for-73 (.356) with eight doubles, six homers, a .356 ISO, a 53.3% hard-hit rate, and a 15.0% barrel rate. The 31-year-old switch-hitter has 10 homers this season after sending a pair of homers out of Sutter Health Park stands on Tuesday.

The conditions on Wednesday night look excellent for more homers in this matchup since the forecast is for temperatures in the 80s with a strong breeze out to center field.
Civale struggled with home run issues before landing on the IL, giving up 12 homers in 11 starts, including six homers in his five home starts. At Sutter Health Park, he has a 5.47 ERA with six homers allowed in 24 2/3 innings. Lefties have hit eight of the 12 homers he has given up this season with a .237 ISO and 45.5% hard-hit rate.
Since Reynolds is so locked in at the plate and Civale has struggled against lefties, I love that this prop still brings plenty of value at +400.
