Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks

Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 15:

Blake Corum, RB, Los Angeles Rams

Los Angeles Rams second-year running back out of Michigan, Blake Corum, dominated once again in Week 14, rushing for 128 yards on 12 carries (10.7 yards per carry) and two touchdowns in the Rams' 45-17 rout over the Arizona Cardinals. Corum is one of, if not the best, fantasy football handcuff right now and is a must-add off the waiver wire if available in your leagues. The Rams' offense ranks fourth in the NFL, averaging 29.2 points per game, and Kyren Williams, the Rams' lead running back, has also been solid in 2025 but has lately been giving way to Corum to help keep him fresh for the NFL playoffs.

Still, Rams coaches have expressed interest in keeping both involved, and Corum is no joke, averaging 5.45 YPC on the season. Corum remains an RB3/Flex consideration in leagues with multiple flex spots or 14 teams or more. On the season, Corum has rushed for 550 yards on 101 attempts with four touchdowns. Up next for the Rams is a big NFC clash against the Detroit Lions.

Chuba Hubbard, RB, Carolina Panthers

Carolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard opened the season as his team's RB1. However, he missed time due to injury in early October, and his role was usurped by Panthers back Rico Dowdle, who exploded with a pair of 200-plus scrimmage-yard outings. Across a four-game stretch from Week 9 to Week 12, Hubbard failed to record more than seven touches in a contest. However, in Carolina's final game before its Week 14 bye, Hubbard broke out for 124 scrimmage yards and a touchdown on 19 touches against the Los Angeles Rams.

Hubbard was still out-touched by Dowdle (20 touches), but he out-snapped Dowdle for the first time since Week 8. If Carolina plans to work with a more even split between their two backs coming out of the bye, Hubbard could re-emerge as a flex option for fantasy managers. In leagues where he may have been dropped, Hubbard is a must-add player heading into his Week 15 matchup against the New Orleans Saints.

David Montgomery, RB, Detroit Lions

Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery had six carries for 60 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown during Thursday's Week 14 win over the Dallas Cowboys. He also converted his lone target into a 13-yard reception. The highlight of Montgomery's outing was a 35-yard rushing touchdown that extended Detroit's lead to multiple possessions in the second quarter. Although Jahmyr Gibbs, who had 120 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns on Thursday, remains the primary running back in the Lions' offense, Montgomery has been able to maintain a fantasy-relevant role of his own.

He has double-digit fantasy points (PPR) in four of his last six games, as well as a touchdown in three of those six. The veteran should continue to be viewed as a high-end RB3/flex heading into Week 15 against the Los Angeles Rams, who have allowed the third-fewest fantasy points to opposing running backs in 2025.

Kimani Vidal, RB, Los Angeles Chargers

Los Angeles Chargers running back Kimani Vidal recorded 14 carries for 44 yards while adding one catch for a team-leading 60 receiving yards on three targets in Monday's overtime win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Vidal still narrowly led the Chargers in carries over rookie Omarion Hampton, who handled 13 carries for 56 yards in his first game since Week 5. On the Chargers' first third down of the game, Vidal slipped out of the backfield for a checkdown from quarterback Justin Herbert and burst down the sideline for a 60-yard gain.

It marked the longest play of the second-year back's career, and he continues to make the most of his opportunities. Since Vidal took over in Week 6 after Hampton's injury, he's totaled 131 carries for 569 yards and three touchdowns with 13 receptions (19 targets) for 102 yards and another score as a receiver, ranking as the RB13 in total PPR points in that time. The 24-year-old running back's role will decrease with Hampton back, but he should continue to stay involved as an important piece of the Chargers' offense.

Chase Brown, RB, Cincinnati Bengals

Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown handled 12 carries for just 23 yards while adding three receptions (four targets) for 12 yards and another touchdown as a receiver in Sunday's loss in snowy Buffalo. Brown continues his stretch of strong production for fantasy managers, averaging 19.2 PPR points per game over his last six outings. The 25-year-old running back surprisingly had his lowest yards-per-carry mark in a game this season against a Bills defense that allowed 5.2 yards a pop entering the game, the second-worst mark in the league.

It comes after three straight games in which the speedy back averaged over five yards per tote. But Brown made up for his lack of efficiency by posting his second two-touchdown game of the season. He will remain a high-end fantasy option in Week 15's divisional matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.
