Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 12:
Zach Charbonnet, RB, Seattle Seahawks
Seattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet will be a touchdown-dependent flex option once again when the Seahawks clash with the Tennessee Titans in Week 12. However, despite his touchdown-dependent status, Charbonnet has a great chance to score this week. The Titans are No. 22 in points allowed to opposing running backs in fantasy this season.
They have also allowed 12 rushing touchdowns to running backs, which is good for 31st in the league. This team does not have much going for it on the defensive line, and Charbonnet could reap the benefits. Seattle will surely find itself in the red zone numerous times throughout this game. Charbonnet is the clear goal line back for this team, and he will likely receive multiple opportunities inside the five-yard line.
If you are desperate for a running back start, Charbonnet could deliver for you in Week 12. It is worth noting that fellow running back Kenneth Walker III (glute) popped up on the injury report on Friday. If Walker were to sit or be limited, Charbonnet would be an automatic start this week.
Ricky Pearsall, WR, San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall's (knee) returned to action in Week 11 after a six-week absence due to a knee injury sustained in Week 4. Unfortunately, the second-year wideout had just one catch for no gain on two targets in the 49ers' 41-22 trouncing of the Cardinals.
On the positive side, Pearsall's knee injury appears to be in the rearview. Pearsall had a 75% snap share in Week 11 and logged a full practice on Thursday and Friday ahead of the 49ers' upcoming game against the Carolina Panthers. Fantasy football managers are advised to keep an eye out for the 49ers' final injury report, which will be due out Saturday as the team plays on Monday night.
Barring any sort of reinjury in his final practice of the week, Pearsall projects as a WR3 and can be plugged into starting lineups for Week 12.
D'Andre Swift, RB, Chicago Bears
Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift (hip) was a full participant in practice on Thursday as he continues to deal with a hip injury, according to Michal Dwojak of Bears Insider. Swift was listed as limited on Wednesday with his hip injury.
The 26-year-old followed a similar practice plan last week before being cleared, playing 57% of the offensive snaps, and turning 21 carries into 90 rushing yards in the Week 11 win over the Minnesota Vikings. Rookie Kyle Monangai continues to be involved behind Swift and even scored again on Sunday, but if healthy, Swift is going to remain Chicago's clear lead back.
Barring a setback in practice on Friday, Swift should be cleared from the Bears' final injury report heading into Week 12's game against the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers. The matchup isn't an ideal one, but Swift's volume alone should keep him in the RB2 tier for fantasy managers.
Jameson Williams, WR, Detroit Lions
After an underwhelming start to the 2025 season, Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams has caught fire in recent weeks. Over his last five games, the 24-year-old has recorded 20 receptions for 339 yards and four touchdowns on 29 targets.
On paper, Williams should have a good chance to extend his hot streak in Week 12 against the New York Giants. Through 11 weeks, the Giants have allowed the sixth-most passing yards (2,641) and seventh-most passing touchdowns (19) in the NFL. Recent developments in Detroit also favor Williams.
In the two games since head coach Dan Campbell took over as his team's play-caller, Williams has been targeted 14 times and is averaging 20.7 yards per reception. Additionally, the Lions will be without tight end Sam LaPorta (back) in Week 12, which will lessen the target competition in Detroit. Williams profiles as a high-end fantasy WR2 in Week 12.
Rashid Shaheed, WR, Seattle Seahawks
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Rashid Shaheed is struggling to make an impact in fantasy with his new team. In two games with the Seahawks, Shaheed has just three catches for 30 yards. Seattle seems to be figuring out how to use Shaheed. He possesses legitimate outside wide receiver skills, but Seattle has used him as more of a gadget player to this point.
Week 12 against the Tennessee Titans presents a great opportunity for Shaheed to make a splash play. The Titans are No. 26 against opposing wide receivers in fantasy. They do not have the personnel to cover Shaheed and his speed. Additionally, Shaheed is being worked more into the offense.
After playing just 34% of the snaps in Week 10, Shaheed jumped to 54% in Week 11. If that number spikes again to the 70% range, we can be confident that he will be a full-time player in this offense. With fellow wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba running wild on the other side of the field, things could shake loose for Shaheed. Monitor his workload in Week 12 to inform future roster management concerning Shaheed.
