Week 12 fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Bam Knight, Kyle Monangai, Tyler Allgeier in 2025. Read their waiver wire outlooks for fantasy football.
We're through 11 weeks of NFL action in 2025, and the running back position remains one where it's difficult to find value. This happens every season, of course -- many RBs that were thought to be set up for good seasons have underperformed, and yet others have been injured.
If you had New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo (ankle) on your roster, you might not be in great shape any more, as he's out for the season. And in Week 11, we saw Green Bay Packers workhorse RB Josh Jacobs (knee) suffer a knee injury. He could miss time.
Whatever the reason, it's always worth hunting waivers for running back pickups. Even if you grab one and they only have one good game, it can easily be worth it. So let's dive into three RBs -- Bam Knight, Kyle Monangai, and Tyler Allgeier -- and see if they're worth picking up ahead of Week 12!

Bam Knight Week 12 Waiver Wire Pickups
Rostered: 27% of Leagues
Baller Move: Add in 14-Team Leagues
The impending return of running back Trey Benson (knee) will obviously all but kill the fantasy value of Knight. But he did have a solid game in Week 11, running five times for 24 yards and a touchdown and catching all four of his targets for 21 yards.
That equated to 14.5 PPR fantasy points. But the lack of rushes was a major concern. Then again, the Cardinals only ran the ball 12 times with their running backs all game, so that was a big reason he had such low touch totals. Next week, the Cardinals will face the Jacksonville Jaguars.

It's hard to predict what will happen next week. Knight is at least worth a speculative add, as one of the team's other RBs, Emari Demercado (ankle) injured his ankle and wasn't able to return. If both he and Benson don't play next week, Knight could get the start and have nice volume. He's the goal-line back, too.
That's worth a speculative add in deep leagues where he's not already rostered, though there are probably very few.
Kyle Monangai Week 12 Waiver Wire Pickups
Rostered: 70% of Leagues
Baller Move: Add in 12-Team Leagues
Monangai struggled on the ground in Week 11 against the Minnesota Vikings. While the Bears starting RB, D'Andre Swift, took 21 carries for 90 yards, averaging nearly 4.3 yards per carry, Monangai managed under two yards per rush, as he ran 12 times for 23 yards. He did get a rushing touchdown, though.
At this point, it's pretty clear that Monangai has work to do to take over the starting job. That would imply that it's not happening this year. For all Swift's flaws, his athleticism affords him plenty of upside behind one of the best offensive lines in the NFL. To the rookie's credit, though, he tends to get tougher assignments.

What we do see emerging here is probably Monangai being the primary short-yardage option, who will be rarely used as a pass-catcher, while Swift will get more work in between the 20 yard lines, where the defense is less condensed.
Monangai has some standalone value in this situation. If he can keep his touchdown streak alive, he's absolutely worth rostering as a handcuff at worse and as a nice 7-10 point RB when you need him. That's more than can be said for a lot of backup RBs. Grab him in 12-team leagues.
Tyler Allgeier Week 12 Waiver Wire Pickups
Rostered: 53% of Leagues
Baller Move: Add in 12-Team Leagues
Allgeier's touchdown streak continued in Week 10 against the Panthers. But the game was competitive until the very end, so Atlanta leaned on their top RB, Bijan Robinson, quite heavily. Allgeier's day ended with three carries for 10 yards and a touchdown and two receptions for six yards.
Robinson, meanwhile, took 23 carries for 104 yards and two touchdowns and caught four of his five targets for 39 yards. He has the workhorse role in the competitive games, and that won't change. Allgeier's value remains mostly as a handcuff that vultures rushing TDs.

Allgeier is the bigger and more powerful back of the two. Robinson is better at everything else pretty much, but that doesn't mean that Allgeier's usage at the goal line is completely unreasonable. He should continue to be rostered in 12-team leagues.
An injury to Robinson would immediately make Allgeier a must-start in all leagues, and that matters a lot.
