Rhamondre Stevenson is set to miss his third straight game in Week 11, clearing the path for rookie TreVeyon Henderson to show out once again. However, Stevenson is a favorite amongst this coaching staff despite the electric plays Henderson has proven he is capable of in his stead.

This begs the question: which player will start once Stevenson inevitably returns? Henderson has performed well, but he has not blown away the competition. Stevenson is a veteran with a much different skill set than Henderson. He is solid in pass protection and a bruising runner.
Let's dive in and find out which of these two players will start for the Patriots moving forward. This has proven to be an offense fantasy managers should want pieces of. Both players should have value down the stretch, but the starter will likely be an inherently better producer for fantasy purposes.
Will Rhamondre Stevenson Start For The Patriots When He Returns?
Henderson has received an uptick in usage with Stevenson out of the lineup. He has been hovering around 80% of the snaps, and he has received more than 15 opportunities in each game. While Henderson has ceded some work to fellow running back Terrell Jennings, that has likely kept him fresh to rip off touchdowns from 50-plus yards.
Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel is a sucker for a good veteran player. Stevenson knows where he needs to be at all times, and Vrabel knows he can trust him. Stevenson does have a notable fumbling issue, but several early-season fumbles were not enough to keep him off the field.

Additionally, prior to his injury, it was Stevenson who was hovering around 65% to 70% of the snaps in the Patriots' backfield. Henderson did not top 50% of the snaps until Stevenson left the lineup. While these two may end up closer to a 50/50 split upon Stevenson's return, he is likely to remain the starter.
Despite Stevenson's likelihood to remain the starter, we got a glimpse of what Henderson could do. The coaching staff got that same glimpse, and we should see more opportunities for Henderson moving forward.
Rhamondre Stevenson Fantasy Football Outlook
Stevenson was no world beater when he was in the lineup. When he returns, he is likely to be in the flex category. With the Patriots' offense continuing to ascend, he should have plenty of touchdown opportunities. However, do not expect Stevenson to be a particularly efficient runner.
What is more, Stevenson's involvement in the passing game has tapered off this season, likely due to the presence of Henderson. That will keep Stevenson's ceiling quite low. He is worth a roster spot, but you will need to pick your matchups in which to start him.
