Memphis Grizzlies center Zach Edey (ankle) was assigned to the G-League's Memphis Hustle on Monday. Edey's stay with the Grizzlies affiliate should be brief, as the second-year big man recovers from offseason ankle surgery. Edey placed fifth in Rookie of the Year voting last year, after averaging 9.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in 66 games. An early-November return for Edey would mark a significant shift in the team's lineup as Jaren Jackson Jr. shifts to power forward, and Jock Landale likely returns to a reserve role. Edey should be stashee immediately ahead of his return to the lineup.--Shaun Albin
