Jayden Daniels Suffers Gruesome Left-Arm Injury on Sunday Night
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels (arm) suffered a gruesome left-arm injury in the fourth quarter of the Sunday Night Football game against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 9 and walked off the field with his arm in a brace, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. At the very least, Daniels is going to miss multiple weeks, but just based on how bad it looked, we'd be surprised if he plays again in 2025. Veteran Marcus Mariota entered the game to replace Daniels and will be in line to start under center for the Commanders for the foreseeable future. Before the unfortunate injury, Daniels went 16-for-22 passing for 153 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception while adding 10 carries for 51 yards on the ground and a touchdown. Check back for updates on Daniels' status on Sunday night and Monday morning after he undergoes testing on his left (non-throwing) arm. UPDATE: Head coach Dan Quinn confirmed that Daniels' injury is to his left elbow.
