Max Shabanov Not Close to Returning
New York Islanders right wing Max Shabanov (upper body) isn't close to returning to action, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports. Sunday's matchup against the Columbus Blue Jackets marks Shabanov's sixth consecutive absence. Before suffering an upper-body injury, Shabanov skated in six games, recording one goal and two assists with eight shots. In Shabanov's absence, Kyle MacLean has been a regular in the lineup, but he lacks fantasy value as a fourth-line grinder. In his seven appearances this season, MacLean has not recorded a single point.
