Brooklyn Nets point guard Egor Demin (foot/rest) has been ruled out ahead of Monday night's matchup with the Houston Rockets. The rookie will be given the night off as the team plays its third game in four days, and he continues to recover from a plantar fascia tear suffered in July. Demin has averaged 22 minutes per game off the bench for Brookly, with the team utilizing the 6'9" playmaker in a variety of ways. Demin has averaged 8.7 points, five rebounds and 2.3 assists through his first three games. Demin's absence should benefit Ben Saraf who has been limited to just 17.7 MPG despite starting every contest this season.--Shaun Albin
