Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 8:
Jerry Jeudy, WR, Cleveland Browns
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy caught two of his four targets for 17 yards in a 31-6 win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 7. Jeudy was quiet on a rainy, windy day in Cleveland, which saw the Browns attempt just 18 passes and throw for only 116 yards.
While the weather played into Jeudy's slow performance in Week 7, it doesn't account for his disappointing second season with the Browns. Jeudy has now caught just 22 passes for 257 scoreless yards through seven games.
He will look to bounce back in a Week 8 road matchup against a New England Patriots defense that is allowing the 11th-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers in fantasy thus far. Jeudy sets up as a low-end WR4/flex option for Week 8.
Breece Hall, RB, New York Jets
New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn said that running back Breece Hall (undisclosed) is day-to-day on Wednesday as the team begins preparations to face the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday, according to Brian Costello of the New York Post.
Hall, whose name has been thrown around in trade rumors with the deadline approaching, came out of the Week 7 loss to the Carolina Panthers with some bumps and bruises, but he should be fine to suit up this weekend against the Bengals. The 24-year-old hasn't been awful this year as a runner, but the Jets' offense has been abysmal, especially in recent weeks. Hall just hasn't had any room to run, and the team's non-existent passing attack has been a big reason why.
He had 11 carries for only 38 yards last Sunday, adding two catches for 14 yards. Hall should have more room to run against Cincy, but the Jets moving to backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor won't inspire much confidence.
Keon Coleman, WR, Buffalo Bills
Since Buffalo Bills second-year wide receiver Keon Coleman had an eight-catch, 112-yard, one-touchdown performance in the season opener against the Baltimore Ravens, he has 16 catches for 125 yards and one touchdown on 24 targets in five games.
He was benched at the start of the Week 5 loss to the New England Patriots for disciplinary reasons and has seven grabs for only 34 yards and a touchdown in the last two games. During the bye last week, Coleman tweeted "Say Less" with a handshake emoji, but deleted it almost immediately. It's unclear what exactly the 22-year-old meant by it, but fantasy managers are just wondering if he'll be able to turn it around in Week 8 against the Carolina Panthers.
Coleman hasn't shown much chemistry with quarterback Josh Allen, and it wasn't a good sign that he couldn't make an impact in Week 6 with tight end Dalton Kincaid and receiver Curtis Samuel out due to injuries. Maybe the Bills will force the issue with Coleman coming out of their bye, but it's hard to recommend him as a flex play against a Carolina defense that has been stingy against opposing receivers in terms of fantasy points this year.
Isiah Pacheco, RB, Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco has had an underwhelming season so far in 2025, recording 314 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns on 77 total touches through his first seven games. However, there may be reason to believe that the 26-year-old is trending upwards.
Pacheco has at least 12 carries and 51 rushing yards in each of his last two games. Additionally, the Chiefs' offense is getting healthier and has averaged 31.5 points per game over the last four weeks, which means Pacheco should see more red zone opportunities going forward. Kansas City will likely continue to split backfield work between Pacheco, Kareem Hunt, and Brashard Smith, which limits Pacheco's upside.
Still, Pacheco has been stealing early-down work away from Hunt in recent weeks and has a higher upside in both real life and fantasy. Pacheco could be a good buy-low candidate for fantasy managers and profiles as a low-end RB2 heading into a Week 8 matchup against the Washington Commanders.
Marvin Mims Jr., WR, Denver Broncos
Denver Broncos wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. had his best game of the season in the team's wild comeback win over the Giants in Week 7, catching six of his seven targets for 85 yards and adding a carry for 13 yards.
Mims ran a season high 56.6% of the routes and delivered his most receiving yards in a game since Week 17 last season against the Bengals. The 23-year-old has played in a rotational role for the most part this season while also playing a key role on special teams, returning punts and kicks.
Head coach Sean Payton likes to rotate his receivers, but Mims could be in line for more opportunities in a potential shootout in Week 8 against the Cowboys after his strong showing in Week 7.
