Taylor couldn't replicate his success over the previous couple of weeks in Week 6, while Loveland returned from injury and played a key part in the Bears' win over the Commanders. Mayer also returned from injury, as he had one of the best games of his career and found the endzone.

The Jets are a mess once again. The NFL's only winless team so far this season, the fact that four of their six losses have been by six points or less is extremely painful.
An MRI today revealed that Jets WR Garrett Wilson hyperextended his knee and he now is expected to miss, as one source said, “a couple of weeks.” pic.twitter.com/HBOBdEfBI2

That doesn't mean there aren't some bright spots on this team, though. Mason Taylor, who is the son of Jason Taylor and the nephew of Zach Thomas, has been the PPR TE22 so far this season, and his performances in Week 4 and Week 5 were great in particular.
In those two games, he caught 14 of his 19 targets for 132 yards, but he unfortunately couldn't follow those performances up in Week 6.
Justin Fields had just 45 passing yards (and -10 net passing yards) in that game, and there are rumors of him potentially being replaced by the veteran Tyrod Taylor.
Either Fields or Tyrod Taylor will have to target Mason Taylor excessively, as he's projected to be the team's main passing target following Garrett Wilson's recent injury.
Michael Mayer Week 7 Waiver Wire Pickups
Rostered: 2% of Leagues
Baller Move: Add in 12+ Team PPR Leagues
Many were quick to write Mayer off after a slow start to his career, and things looked bleak for him following Brock Bowers' arrival in 2024.

Things got even worse for Mayer as he was forced to miss time due to a concussion that he suffered in Week 3 of this season, but his fortunes have turned around since then. Bowers got hurt in Week 4, and Ian Thomas failed to provide much value as the starter in Week 5.
This opened up the door for Mayer to prove himself once he returned to the field in Week 6, which is what he ended up doing.
He had 50 receiving yards and scored a touchdown in the Raiders' 20-10 win against the Titans, which was the first time he accomplished both feats in the same game.
Per ESPN's Ryan McFadden, Raiders HC Pete Carroll expects Bowers to be out until the team's Week 8 bye, which could give Mayer another chance to have a big game in Week 7.
Colston Loveland Week 7 Waiver Wire Pickups
Rostered: 25% of Leagues
Baller Move: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
Much like Mayer, Loveland suffered an injury in Week 3 and was forced to miss the next two weeks. The 10th overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft returned in Week 6, catching two of his three targets for 11 yards in the Bears' 25-24 win against the Commanders.
He converted a crucial third down late in the game to help Chicago get into Washington's side of the field on the final drive of the game, which ended in a game-winning field goal.
Loveland still hasn't had a breakout performance yet, but his snap shares looked promising against Washington. That game was the first time that his snap percentage (42.2%) was similar to that of his teammate Cole Kmet (51.6%).
This could potentially be the start of big things for Loveland, as he continues to prove himself by making key plays at key moments and increasing his snap count.
