Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager (abdomen) did some light jogging on the field on Monday, reports Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com. He has been out since August 27 after being diagnosed with appendicitis and undergoing an appendectomy. Bruce Bochy stated that the 31-year-old was still pretty sore, but that soreness figures to be the only thing holding him back from a return to the lineup. Don't expect an activation within the next few days, but Seager should be able to see the field at some point to close out the season. He's had a successful campaign when he is healthy, batting .271 with a .373 on-base percentage and 21 home runs in 102 games.--Jeremy Heist
