Baltimore Orioles outfielder Dylan Beavers hit the first home run of his big league career during Thursday's 7-2 loss to the Astros. The two-run shot was his lone hit in three at-bats, along with one walk. It has been a pretty encouraging start so far for the rookie, who has collected at least one hit in four of his first five major league games. The 24-year-old is 5-for-17 with five strikeouts and five walks. Injuries and trades have opened up a lot of playing time in Baltimore's lineup over the past month, so Beavers should be able to stick in the lineup for the majority of the time for the remainder of the season.--Jeremy Heist
