Colorado Rockies reliever Victor Vodnik logged his fifth save of the year in a 4-3 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday. The 25-year-old right-hander threw a perfect, 12-pitch ninth inning with two strikeouts to lock up his third save since Tuesday. Interim manager Warren Schaeffer said Vodnik and Juan Mejia would share closing duties when Seth Halvorsen went on the 15-day injured list Aug. 3, but Vodnik has recorded all of the Rockies' saves since then. Vodnik owns a respectable 3.62 ERA with 40 strikeouts in 37 1/3 innings, but he also carries a high WHIP (1.54) and an inflated walk rate (5.06 per nine).--Connor Byrne
