Simeon Woods Richardson Needed Parasite Removed
Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Simeon Woods Richardson (illness) recently underwent a procedure to remove a parasite from his digestive tract. Woods Richardson was placed on the injured list in early August due to an illness. The organization figured out it was a parasite that he likely got from a seafood meal. Now with it removed, Woods Richardson is feeling much better. He lost quite a bit of weight because of this, so he'll need time to build himself back up. Woods Richardson will probably need a few rehab starts, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect him back in the mix until late August. The 24-year-old is really only a deep league option at the moment.
