Anthony Bender Placed on Paternity List
Miami Marlins reliever Anthony Bender has been placed on the paternity list, meaning he could miss the remainder of his team's weekend series against the Atlanta Braves. Miami recalled right-hander Tyler Zuber from Triple-A Jacksonville to take Bender's place on the roster. In 47 innings (48 games) so far this season, Bender has pitched to a 2.30 ERA and 1.09 WHIP with 38 strikeouts, three wins, and three saves. The 30-year-old has mostly been used in a setup role in 2025, but he's also a candidate to log the occasional save in a Miami bullpen that uses multiple relievers in the ninth inning.
