Chicago White Sox right-handed pitching prospect Wikelman Gonzalez is slated to rejoin the major league roster before their contest on Friday evening against the Cleveland Guardians. In a corresponding move, the White Sox are sending right-hander Jonathan Cannon to Triple-A. Gonzalez made his MLB debut earlier this summer but logged only five innings across three relief appearances. During this short taste, the right-hander allowed two runs and four hits. Throughout his time with the Charlotte Knights this season, Gonzalez logged 30 innings of relief to the tune of a 4.80 ERA with a 1.40 WHIP. During this stretch, Gonzalez struck out just 28 hitters. Given that he is likely to have a low leverage role in the bullpen, he will carry minimal fantasy value.--Andy Smith
