Tyler Black Recalled from Triple-A Nashville
Tyler Black from Triple-A Nashville with Jake Bauers hitting the 10-day injured list due to a left shoulder impingement. The 24-year-old Black got a late start to the season after undergoing surgery for a right hamate fracture in March, finally returning to Triple-A Nashville on June 11. Through 24 games there, the left-handed hitter took a while to get rolling, slashing .191/.301/.303 in all, but was riding a six-game hit streak before his call-up, going 9-for-24 (.375) with a double, a pair of home runs, and two stolen bases. The 6-foot-1 slugger made his major league debut in 2024, slashing .204/.316/.245 with zero home runs and three steals in 18 games for the Brewers. Hopefully this time he'll see a bit more success as he offers a little bit of power and speed, but he can be left to the waiver wire in most fantasy leagues for now.
