Boston Red Sox second baseman David Hamilton was optioned to Triple-A Worcester after Thursday's game, reports Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com. There hasn't been an official corresponding transaction by the Red Sox yet, but it is almost certainly to make room for Alex Bergman's return from the injured list. Hamilton has been very disappointing in 2025, particularly offensively, posting a .179 batting average and .229 on-base percentage. The 27-year-old did steal 15 bases, which is the extent of his fantasy value. He was already losing significant playing time as of late, serving more as a backup utility option.--Jeremy Heist
