New York Mets pitching prospect Alex Carrillo has been called up to the majors for what will be his big league debut whenever he enters a game. The 28-year-old spent time in the Independent League and Venezuelan Winter League prior to joining the Mets organization in 2025. Over 19 relief appearances this year, the righty posted a 3.25 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, and a 40:8 K:BB in 25 innings pitched. His four-seam fastball can touch 100 mph and he also features a low-90s changeup, a slider, and a cutter. Hopefully he is able to translate that success to the majors, however, without a high-leverage role, there's little fantasy value here.--Jarod RuppRead More News
