Giants Option Tyler Fitzgerald to Triple-A
Tyler Fitzgerald to Triple-A Sacramento on Monday, according to the San Francisco Chronicle's Shayna Rubin. Fitzgerald has found it harder to hit in 2025, slashing .230/.289/.320 with two home runs, 10 RBI, 17 runs and nine stolen bases in 57 games while also striking out 53 times in 200 plate appearances. He had gone hitless in his last six games with an RBI and four strikeouts in 14 trips to the plate. The 27-year-old has also hit just .127 (7-for-55) with three RBI, two steals, two runs, four walks and 19 strikeouts in 20 games in the month of June. As a result, Fitzgerald was seeing more time on the bench, so he'll now head to Sacrament to try and make some adjustments. At least until Matt Chapman (hand) returns from the injured list, the Giants will likely use a combination of Brett Wisely and Christian Koss at the keystone.
