Alex Call Retreats to the Bench
Alex Call is not in the team's starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the visiting Colorado Rockies. With Call resting, outfield prospect Daylen Lile will start in right field and bat seventh against Rockies right-hander Antonio Senzatela. Call will sit down after starting each of the team's last 12 games. The 30-year-old is currently in the midst of a four-game hitting streak and is hitting an even .300 (12-for-40) with two home runs, a double and three RBI in 12 games in the month of June. However, with Lile back in the big leagues, it's possible that call will find himself on the bench more going forward. He's hitting a respectable .276 (40-for-145) but with just two homers, 17 RBI and 22 runs scored. Lile is looking to get going in his 13th MLB game after starting off hitting .206 (7-for-34) with a homer and three RBI.
