Logan Davidson Heading Back to the Minors
Logan Davidson and catcher Jhonny Pereda back to Triple-A Las Vegas and reinstated first baseman Nick Kurtz (hip) from the 10-day injured list and added catcher Austin Wynns to the active roster. Davidson, who is ranked as the team's No. 30 prospect on MLB Pipeline, recently got his first major-league call-up but went 3-for-20 with a double, two RBI, a run scored, three walks and 12 strikeouts in his first nine games in the Show. With Kurtz returning from a short stint on the IL, Davidson will head back to the farm to work on his craft with the Aviators. If the 27-year-old makes it back to the big leagues this year, he'll serve in a super-utility role in Sacramento. At best, he's one to stash in deep dynasty/keeper leagues.
