Jaison Chourio Returns From High-A Injured List
Jaison Chourio (shoulder) was activated off the 7-day injured list prior to their contest on Friday. Chourio is considered the No. 3-ranked prospect in the system and the No. 53-ranked prospect in baseball on MLB.com. The 20-year-old has spent the majority of the campaign with High-A Lake County and posted a .214/.396/.271 slash line with one double and one home run. He has shown a strong eye at the plate, drawing 21 walks and only striking out 17 times. Last season, the young outfielder spent most of his time with Low-A, where he posted a strong .269/.414/.398 line with 24 doubles and five home runs across 98 games. Chourio has continued to show an elite eye at the plate. If he continues to find his swing at High-A, he could be in the mix to reach Double-A in the second half of the season.
