New York Yankees right-handed reliever Jake Cousins (forearm, pectoral) threw a side session of around 30 pitches on Saturday, according to MLB.com. Imaging on Cousins did not show any significant concerns, and he should continue to build up his arm for a potential return to the Yankees' bullpen at some point in June. In addition to rehabbing a strained right forearm, Cousins was briefly shut down earlier this month with a minor pectoral injury, but it looks like he's past that. The 30-year-old veteran has been on the 60-day injured list all season due to his forearm injury, but when he's healthy, he could occupy a key role in New York's bullpen as a high-leverage arm. In his first year with the Yanks in 2024, Cousins went 2-1 with a 2.37 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, 53:20 K:BB and one save in 38 regular-season innings over 37 outings.--Keith Hernandez
