Aaron Civale to Make his Return on Thursday Night
Aaron Civale (hamstring) will be activated from the injured list and will make the start on Thursday night against the division-rival Pittsburgh Pirates, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Todd Rosiak. Civale is scheduled to throw anywhere from 75 to 85 pitches in his first MLB start since March 30 against the New York Yankees, when he gave up five earned runs on four hits (three homers) while walking one and striking out two in three innings. The 29-year-old is recovered from a strained left hamstring and has an excellent matchup a Pirates offense that ranks dead-last in OPS (.617). Although Civale won't go too deep in his first start back -- Carlos Rodriguez is scheduled to follow him -- it's still an enticing streaming opportunity. Civale threw nine scoreless innings in his two rehab starts for Triple-A Nashville.
