Kolby Allard An Option To Enter Cleveland's Rotation
Kolby Allard has been great as a length option out of the team's bullpen this season, and manager Stephen Vogt said "he's definitely an option" to enter the starting rotation with right-hander Ben Lively (forearm) going on the injured list on Tuesday. Allard, who has a sharp 1.20 ERA in 15 innings over five appearances in 2025, could make his first start of the year as early as this Saturday against the Cincinnati Reds. The 27-year-old southpaw threw a season-high 64 pitches in six innings of relief on April 26 against the Boston Red Sox, so he's definitely built up enough to be worth streaming consideration in fantasy. He threw 53 pitches over four innings on May 3 against the Toronto Blue Jays as well. MLB.com's Tim Stebbins also mentions prospect Doug Nikhazy and rehabbing right-hander Slade Cecconi (oblique) as options, but Allard feels like the best bet, at least this weekend.
