Guardians Send Brayan Rocchio To Triple-A
Brayan Rocchio to Triple-A Columbus on Monday and recalled outfielder Will Brennan from Columbus in a corresponding move. Rocchio will go down to the farm to work on his offensive skills after starting the 2025 season with a .165/.235/.198 slash line in 35 games this year. With the 24-year-old now out of the picture in Cleveland for the time being, Gabriel Arias will start at shortstop and hit seventh on Monday against Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Freddy Peralta. Brennan also draws into the starting lineup immediately for the series opener at Progressive Field, playing right field and batting ninth. Arias had already been seeing more playing time at the 6 with Rocchio struggling. The 25-year-old Venezuelan is slashing .264/.319/.416 with four long balls, 16 RBI 21 runs and two steals in his 125 at-bats in 2025.
