MLB DFS Picks Today: Daily Fantasy Baseball Strategy and Tips For FanDuel, DraftKings (5/7/25)

Bobby Witt Jr. - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

CeeGee's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Wednesday, 5/7/25. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! We have an eight-game main slate starting at 6:45 p.m. on FanDuel and a seven-game main slate starting at 7:05 p.m. on DraftKings tonight. We’ve got a mix of pitching aces, Coors Field upside, and some sneaky value plays to sift through. Weather could be a factor; keep an eye on Kauffman Stadium (71%) and Coors Field (41%).

The slate features high-end arms like Hunter Greene and Max Fried, but also some softer matchups for stacks, particularly in Kansas City and Colorado.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 5/7/2025, with the slate starting at 6:45 p.m, EDT. The lineup picks will showcase elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is always essential.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Hunter Greene - CIN - RHP ($9.8K DK; $10.6K FD)

Greene’s been a strikeout machine, boasting a 29% K-rate against both lefties and righties this season. Facing the Braves at Truist Park, he gets a favorable matchup against a lineup that’s been inconsistent against right-handed pitching (0.335 wOBA). Greene’s last six starts show a 32.2% K-rate, and his 2.59 xERA screams upside. On FanDuel, where you only need one pitcher, he’s a cash game anchor with seven or higher strikeout potential. On DraftKings, his price demands a big outing, but the matchup supports 20+ points.

Max Fried - NYY - LHP ($9.5K DK; $10.5K FD)

Fried’s groundball-heavy profile (57% GB rate) is perfect against a Padres lineup that struggles against lefties (0.311 wOBA). His 3.26 xERA and 23% K-rate make him a safe floor play with sneaky upside at Yankee Stadium. Recent form shows a 32.4% K-rate against lefties and solid vs Righties (0.241 wOBA). Fried’s a cash game staple on both sites, especially on FanDuel, where his consistency shines.

Shane Baz - TB - RHP ($8.8K DK; $9.5K FD)

Baz is a GPP dart throw with high risk and reward. His 23% K-rate and 95.9 mph fastball velocity give him swing-and-miss stuff, but the Phillies’ potent lineup (0.324 wOBA vs. RHP) is a tough draw. Baz’s last six starts show a 34.5% K-rate against lefties, which helps against Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber, but he’s allowed a .316 wOBA to righties recently. At this price, he’s a DraftKings leverage play for tournaments, less appealing on FanDuel.

Also Consider:

Michael Wacha - KC - RHP ($8.2K DK; $8.3K FD): Facing a White Sox lineup with a 0.284 wOBA against righties, Wacha’s 3.86 xERA and 39% GB rate make him a safe mid-tier option, especially in cash games.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Bobby Witt Jr. - KC - SS ($5.8K DK; $4.2K FD)

Witt is a stud against righties, posting a .405 xwOBA and .261 ISO. Facing Jonathan Cannon, who’s allowed a .350 wOBA to righties in his last six starts, Witt’s in a smash spot at Kauffman Stadium. His speed adds stolen base upside on DraftKings, where his price is steep but justified for cash and GPPs. On FanDuel, he’s a no-brainer at $4,200 for his power-speed combo.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. - TOR - 1B ($4.9K DK; $3.3K FD)

Guerrero’s crushing lefties with a .397 xwOBA and .233 ISO, making him a prime target against Yusei Kikuchi. Angel Stadium’s neutral park factors don’t suppress his power, and Kikuchi’s .372 wOBA allowed to righties in his last six starts opens the door for a big game. Guerrero’s a cash game lock on FanDuel and a strong GPP play on DraftKings.

Elly De La Cruz - CIN - SS ($5.9K DK; $3.7K FD)

De La Cruz’s .341 xwOBA and .232 ISO against righties pair well with his elite speed, especially against Grant Holmes, who’s surrendered a .382 wOBA to righties recently. Truist Park is hitter-friendly, and De La Cruz’s ability to rack up stolen bases makes him a DraftKings standout. On FanDuel, his price is a steal for GPP upside.

Also Consider:

Bryce Harper - PHI - 1B ($5.5K DK; $3.9K FD) and Trea Turner - PHI - SS ($5K DK; $3K FD): Both thrive against righties and face Baz, who’s shaky against right-handed bats. Great for Philly stacks.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Kerry Carpenter - DET - OF ($4.6K DK; $3.8K FD)

Coors Field alert! Carpenter’s .408 xwOBA and .307 ISO against righties make him a must-play against Chase Dollander, who’s struggled with a .373 wOBA allowed to righties. The 9.5 game total and Coors’ thin air boost Carpenter’s home run potential. He’s a cash and GPP staple on both sites, especially at FanDuel’s price.

Aaron Judge - NYY - OF ($6.5K DK; $4.8K FD)

Judge’s .477 xwOBA and .344 ISO against righties are absurd, and Dylan Cease’s 22.2% K rate versus righties in his last six starts doesn’t scare me off. Yankee Stadium favors power, and Judge’s recent form (0.317 xHR) screams multi-hit upside. He’s a premium spend on DraftKings but worth it for GPPs; on FanDuel, he’s a core play.

Riley Greene - DET - OF ($4.8K DK; $3.8K FD)

Another Coors Field beneficiary, Greene’s .366 xwOBA and .226 ISO against righties align perfectly with Dollander’s struggles. His 0.274 xHR projection and the Tigers’ 5.49 implied total make him a fantastic value on FanDuel for cash games. On DraftKings, he’s a strong GPP piece for Detroit stacks.

Also Consider:

Kyle Schwarber - PHI - OF ($5.7K DK; $4.1K FD) and Brandon Marsh - PHI - OF ($2.7K DK; $2.5K FD): Both lefties crush righties and get a boost against Baz’s high flyball rate.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Detroit Tigers (vs. Chase Dollander - COL - RHP)

The Tigers are my top stack in Coors Field’s 9.5-total game. Dollander’s 6.07 xERA and .389 wOBA allowed scream blowup potential. Target Carpenter, Greene, Colt Keith (.335 xwOBA vs. RHP), and Spencer Torkelson (.302 xwOBA vs. RHP) for power. On DraftKings, mix in Trey Sweeney for value; on FanDuel, prioritize the big bats.

Kansas City Royals (vs. Jonathan Cannon - CHW - RHP)

The Royals’ 5.17 implied total and Cannon’s .350 wOBA allowed to righties make this a juicy spot. Witt, Vinnie Pasquantino (.333 xwOBA vs. RHP), Salvador Perez (.368 xwOBA vs. RHP), and Maikel Garcia (.318 xwOBA vs. RHP) are core pieces. On DraftKings, Kyle Isbel adds cheap exposure; FanDuel lineups can lean on Witt and Perez.

Philadelphia Phillies (vs. Shane Baz - TB - RHP)

The Phillies’ 4.56 implied total and Baz’s .316 wOBA allowed to righties recently make them a strong GPP stack. Harper, Turner, Schwarber, and Nick Castellanos (.329 xwOBA vs. RHP) are the top targets. On DraftKings, Marsh is a value add; on FanDuel, focus on Harper and Schwarber for power.
