The Dallas Cowboys acquired cornerback Kaiir Elam and a sixth-round pick from the Buffalo Bills on Wednesday in exchange for future fifth- and seventh-round picks, a source told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Elam, who was the 23rd overall pick in 2022 out of the University of Florida, will now head to the NFC East after serving in a depth role in Buffalo's secondary in the first three seasons of his NFL career. The 23-year-old defensive back played in 13 games (four starts) in 2024 and finished with 26 tackles (17 solo), two pass breakups and a fumble recovery. The Cowboys will now look to get more out of Elam as he heads into the final year of his rookie deal. In his three years with the Bills, Elam had a total of 81 tackles (56 solo), two interceptions, six pass breakups and a fumble recovery in 29 games (12 starts).--Keith Hernandez
