Free-agent cornerback Carlton Davis III has agreed to a three-year, $60 million contract with the New England Patriots, according to ESPN. The deal includes $34.5 million in total guarantees. Davis is a former second-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers out of Auburn and was traded to the Detroit Lions last offseason. Overall, the 28-year-old has collected 380 tackles (310 solo), 11 interceptions, 84 pass deflections, four forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries, and 17.5 run stuffs in 89 career games. Paired with Christian Gonzalez, New England now has one of the top cornerback duos in the NFL under new head coach Mike Vrabel.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBaller
