MLB DFS: DraftKings Fantasy Baseball Picks (8/26/24) - Today's Top Lineups

Rafael Devers - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB DFS Picks, Betting Picks

MLB DFS play for DraftKings (8/26/24). Use Dawn's Daily Fantasy Baseball GPP Tournament Picks to help build lineups in order to win big playing on DraftKings tonight.

Good morning, all! We've got a six-game slate featuring a young pitcher being called up in Detroit tonight. This might make you think he's an instant target, but he's facing the White Sox, so think again!

Who else will we be looking at? Sneaky stacks like Detroit, who are facing Davis Martin, who, in only four games, has a 3.20 ERA but an xFIP of 4.22. That's a respectable xFIP, but certainly higher than his ERA. Martin is throwing 8.69 K's per game but has 4.12 walks.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 8/26/2024 and the slate locking at 7:10 p.m. EDT on DraftKings. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential.

DraftKings Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Bailey Ober (MIN/RHP) vs Atlanta Braves ($9.2K DK)

Yes, Ober is facing the Braves, but the righty has a 3.54 ERA and 3.88 xFIP and is throwing 9.32 Ks per game. The Braves wRC+ for the season is a respectable 99, but they also strike out at 24.5% and are slashing .237/.301/.405 this season versus righties.

Since the All-Star break, Ober has gone 4-0 with a 2.03 ERA and 39 strikeouts. Coming in at 9.2K on DraftKings, he's the most expensive pitcher on the board, but he will also be one of the lower-owned aces versus Atlanta.

Nick Pivetta (BOS/RHP) vs. Toronto Blue Jays ($8.5K DK)

Toronto has been showing some upside over the last 30 days, with its wRC+ jumping from 101 to 121. Pivetta's K/9 is 10.6 and his BB/9 is 2.30. Is it a bit risky? Yes, and that is another reason to roster the right-hander. He'll undoubtedly be lower-owned and has a high upside.

Pivetta got the win versus the Blue Jays earlier this year, going seven innings with a 3.86 ERA, four strikeouts, and walking just one batter. He might get dinged by Vladdy Jr., but he should do well overall against a Toronto team that is slashing .236/.313/.384 versus righties on the road.

Also Consider: Edward Cabrera (MIN), Davis Martin (DET), Bryce Miller (TB)

DraftKings Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Rafael Devers - 3B, BOS vs. Jose Berrios ($5.8K DK)

Anytime a right-handed pitcher faces the Red Sox, I fire up Rafael Devers. His price is heading into Aaron Judge territory, but against righties, he is a must-roster. At first glance, he is slashing .293/.373/.579 for the season, with 28 home runs and 80 RBI. He's even better at home, slashing .307/.394/.604.

How about versus right-handed pitchers? Well. How about a slash line of .319/.407/.674 this season? How about 24 home runs and 60 RBI? Don't overthink it. Stack the Red Sox and build around their third baseman.

Jake Cronenworth- 1B, SD at Kyle Gibson ($4.5K DK)

Don't get it twisted: Kyle Gibson is no slouch. With a 4.22 ERA and a 3.99 xFIP, going up against the right-hander will be no cakewalk for the Padres. But numbers don't lie. San Diego has a 112 wRC+ for the season and 125 for the last 30 days.

Versus righties, San Diego is slashing .275/.332/.432 and has a K rate of 16.7%. That number made my eyes pop a bit! Cronenworth is slashing .262/.337/.459 versus right-handed pitchers and has a K rate of 17.9%. Stack the Padres and make sure to include their first baseman!

Royce Lewis - 3B, MIN vs. Max Fried ($5.5K DK)

Minnesota is facing a tough lefty in Fried, but the Twins have a wRC+ of 113 and a slightly higher batting average as a team (.264) versus left-handed pitchers. Against lefties, Lewis is slashing .310/.391/.586 and has a K rate of just 17.4%.

Minnesota is another stack I'll be looking at today. Since the all-star break, Fried has been 4-0 but has an ERA of 6.10. That number should certainly be lower, but the Twins have strong bats, which could make it a challenging night for Fried.

Carlos Santana, 1B - MIN vs. Max Fried ($3.6K DK)

Another member of our Minnesota stack, Carlos Santana, is slashing .305/.359/.593 versus lefties this year and .379/.471/.552 versus the NL East. We know that Fried will challenge the Twins, but if anyone breaks through, it'll be Santana.

The 15-year vet has 18 homers on the season, with three coming in the last two weeks. With a $3.6K price tag on DraftKings, the switch-hitter can potentially be a high-value bat tonight. That and low ownership make him an integral part of my Twins stack tonight.

Also Consider: Triston Casas (BOS - 1B), Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (TOR - 1B), Manny Machado (SD - 3B)

DraftKings Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Lars Nootbaar, OF - STL vs. Randy Vasquez ($3.5K DK)

I'm a sucker for the Cardinals versus right-handed pitchers, and today is no different. Vasquez has a 4.74 xFIP, and against left-handed batters, he has a .325/.397/.514 slash line. All signs point to the Cardinals having a good night against the righty, especially Nootbaar.

Versus righties, Nootbaar is slashing .236/.333/.418 with eight home runs and 28 RBI. In Sunday's win over the Twins, Nootbaar knocked in two runs in the ninth inning, contributing to the Card's 3-2 win over the Twins. Look for more clutch at-bats tonight versus Vasquez.

Jesus Sanchez, OF - MIA at COL ($4K DK)

Miami is in Colorado, so we have to take a look, right? I feel like Miami is a team that tends to get overlooked and then ends up winning tournaments (that I'm in, of course). The Marlins have an 83 wRC+ for the season, but that number has increased in the last 30 days, pushing to over 100 to 103.

Miami faces Ryan Feltner in Colorado. Feltner has a just-over-average GB% of 45.4% and a slightly elevated HR/FB% of 12.7%. Sanchez is slashing .287/.369/.501 versus righties and should find his way on base tonight at Coors Field.

Also Consider: Parker Meadows (DET - OF), Jarren Duran (BOS - OF), Jurickson Profar (SD - OF)

DraftKings MLB DFS Stack

1. Boston Red Sox vs. Tyler Mahle (TEX/RHP)

Favorite Plays: Rafael Devers, Jarren Duran, Wilyer Abreu, Masataka Yoshida, Danny Jansen

2. San Diego Padres at Kyle Gibson (STL/RHP)

Favorite Plays: Manny Machado, Jake Cronenworth, Jurickson Profar, Randy Vasquez

Also Consider: Minnesota Twins, St. Louis Cardinals, Colorado Rockies
