ANALYSIS: Chicago Cubs outfield prospect Owen Caissie has performed very well in his first taste of Triple-A ball and is nearing his major league debut. Through 41 games with Triple-A Iowa this season, Caisse has posted a .289/.426/.437 with three home runs, four stolen bases, and a 32:49 BB:K ratio.

Last season with Double-A Tennessee, the 21-year-old posted a very similar .289/.398/.519 slash line in 120 games. Caissie is ranked as the No. 2 prospect in the Chicago system, only behind fellow Triple-A teammate Cade Horton.
The outfielder is projected to make his major league debut later this summer, but that may not come till after the All-Star Break as the Cubs outfield is quite crowded. Currently, Cody Bellinger, Seiya Suzuki, and Ian Happ are everyday starters, and Mike Tauchman and rookie Pete Crow-Armstrong have been solid options off the bench.
The former second-round selection may have to wait for an injury to get an opportunity, but he is worth stashing now in NL-only leagues.
