The NASCAR Cup Series ran the Würth 400 this past Sunday afternoon at Dover Motor Speedway with Denny Hamlin getting his third win of the season by holding off a late-charging Kyle Larson.
Hamlin had the Best Average Running Position for the day and was followed in that statistic by his teammate, Martin Truex, Jr., who finished third. The top four drivers ranking in Average Running Position also finished fourth or better.
Of the top five finishers in this weekend's race, Chase Elliott had the worst Average Running Position (4.13), ranking just eighth-best in that statistic but finishing fifth. A part of this is likely because Chase started way back in 29th and had to work through traffic.
