Where will Justin Fields play for in 2024?
Fields, who leads all quarterbacks in rushing yards since 2022, was considered a top trade candidate since the Chicago Bears landed the top pick in the draft. But so far, there has been little interest in the Ohio State product, and some of the Bears' potential trade partners have already landed starting quarterbacks.

Are the Bears Trying to Trade Justin Fields?
At the NFL Scouting Combine, Bears GM Ryan Poles said, "It just depends on what opportunities pop up." The Bears are open to trading Justin Fields for the right offer, but they did not indicate that dealing him was a must. They might still be evaluating rookie quarterback options and weighing it versus keeping Fields.
In fact, according to Ian Rapoport, the Bears have been passive. "They have really not yet engaged, really not yet started the process," he said in a media hit.
It is widely assumed that the Bears will draft Caleb Williams at No. 1, leaving Fields expendable, but the Bears could end up seeing red flags popping up with Williams. They might opt to trade their first-round pick again for an even bigger haul than they had last year.
Which Teams Are Still in the Justin Fields Trade Sweepstakes?
The Atlanta Falcons and Pittsburgh Steelers both acquired new starting quarterbacks early in the offseason with Kirk Cousins and Russell Wilson respectively. They are effectively eliminated as potential trade partners for Chicago.
The Las Vegas Raiders also signed a veteran quarterback with experience as a starter in Gardner Minshew. They appear to be prepared to let Minshew fight with second-year quarterback Aidan O'Connell and potentially a 2024 rookie for the starting job.
The Minnesota Vikings, having lost Cousins, signed 2018 No. 3 overall pick Sam Darnold to a one-year deal. Darnold would be one of the worst starting quarterbacks if the rebuilding Vikings settle on him. They might also add another cheap quarterback to compete with him, but they aren't aiming to invest massive resources in the position.
The New England Patriots benched Mac Jones last season and traded him to the Jaguars early this offseason. They could be in the market for a new quarterback who also happens to be from Jones' draft class. They had some success with late-career Cam Newton, another running quarterback, but that was during the Bill Belichick era.
The Denver Broncos still don't have a quarterback. The Broncos showed up on a list of potential Fields suiters published on USA Today's Bears Wire, along with the Vikings, Patriots, New York Giants, and Seattle Seahawks.
KOA Colorado Broncos beat reporter Benjamin Allbright even suggested the Indianapolis Colts and Philadelphia Eagles as teams for which Fields could backup quarterbacks who have similar play styles. Trading for Fields just to bench him would be an expensive way of acquiring a backup. But a backup with similar athletic abilities as the starters would indeed be valuable on a team where the starter faces a heightened risk of injury.
