Brandin Cooks' fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 16 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Brandin Cooks for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start in 14-team leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR4 with WR3 upside
ANALYSIS: It wasn't pretty for Brandin Cooks early in the season. Before the Cowboys' Bye in Week 7, Cooks averaged just 4.6 targets per game. He only had 52 air yards in one of those five games. In his last six games, Cooks is averaging 5.7 targets per game and has scored three touchdowns. He's also had over 72 air yards in four of those six games.
The Cowboys' offense is much-improved and Cooks is being used as a deep threat every week. The volume hasn't necessarily been there, but Cooks continues to operate as a home run threat. His 8.63 yards per target and 13.27 yards per catch are the most he's had since 2020 in Houston.
Cooks and the Cowboys get the Dolphins in Week 16. This game features an over/under of 49.5 points and a spread of just 1.5 points. Shots will be taken, points will be scored, and Cooks will be on the field when that happens. Per PlayerProfiler, he's had an average route participation rate of 90% in the last four games. If you need an upside dart at WR3 or your flex, Cooks makes for a solid option.
