Tyler Boyd's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 16 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Tyler Boyd for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Sit in 10 and 12-team leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR4 in PPR leagues
ANALYSIS: Tyler Boyd has been a known commodity in the fantasy football landscape for some time now. You know what you're going to get from the Bengals' slot receiver. However, in Week 16, Cincinnati will be without star wideout Ja'Marr Chase. That'll keep Boyd on the field a bit more than usual and could prop up his fantasy value a bit.
Chase owns by far the highest target share on the team at 26.8%. That means lots of targets will be up for grabs this week. Boyd should get a handful of those. In four games without Chase during the 2021 season, Boyd saw eight targets in two of them, but just two targets in the other two. In four games without Tee Higgins this season, Boyd has averaged 7.5 targets per game. However, he's only gone over 56 yards once this season.
His 9.75 yards per catch is by far a career-low this season, but he could still produce with 6-8 targets on 80-90% of the snaps in Week 16 vs. the Steelers. He's got somewhat of a safe floor with Chase out, but his ceiling leaves a lot to be desired. Keep on your bench unless you're in a very deep PPR league.
