Javonte Williams' fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 14 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Javonte Williams for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB2
ANALYSIS: Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams is one of the better young running backs in the NFL. He suffered a severe knee injury in 2022, putting the start to this season in doubt. However, the talented running back has only missed one game for an injury unrelated to last year’s knee.
Williams has had a solid season. He is the RB31 for the year, averaging 9.3 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. While fantasy players have hoped that Williams would have a featured role, head coach Sean Payton continues to make the backfield a committee situation. Williams has played over 53% of the snaps in only three games.
He has earned more work lately. The running back has played at least 65% of the snaps in back-to-back games. Williams is coming off his third consecutive game with under 8.7 fantasy points. Yet, he made some critical plays in the Week 13 loss to the Houston Texans.
Despite his recent cold stretch, fantasy players should feel confident starting Williams on Sunday. He faces a Los Angeles Chargers defense that has surrendered 20.5 fantasy points per game to running backs, the 12th-most in the NFL. Over the past two weeks, running backs have averaged 107 rushing yards per game against Los Angeles.
