NFL DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings - Eagles vs. Chiefs MNF Showdown

A.J. Brown - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS and Betting Picks

John's top NFL DFS lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings - Eagles vs. Chiefs showdown slate on 11/20/2023. His Monday Night Football daily fantasy football advice.

Happy Monday, RotoBallers! We're back with another Monday Night Football showdown article! We have arguably the biggest Monday Night Football game of the season, a Super Bowl 57 rematch as Jalen Hurts and the Eagles (8-1) head to the Midwest to take on Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs (7-2). This is a rematch of last year's Super Bowl and potentially a preview of this year's Super Bowl.

We have been pretty successful so far with these showdown slates and hopefully, that trend continues from last year into this year. Most of us started our fantasy journeys with football, so it's always nice when it comes around and it's always a shame for it to come to an end. Thanks to the advanced analytics of today, I'll do my best to provide you with as much in-depth analysis as possible regarding positional matchups and the like to help put some lunch money in your pocket. Let's make some coin this season gang, and let's get right to it.

I will be providing you with daily fantasy football picks on FanDuel and DraftKings for the Eagles vs. Chiefs NFL DFS showdown slate on November 20. These NFL DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel. MVP/Captain Plays

Patrick Mahomes - QB, $16,800 (DK), $17,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2023 Stats: 2,443 passing yards, 17 touchdowns, eight interceptions, 42 rushing attempts, 258 rushing yards, and two fumbles lost.
  • Projected Pass DVOA: 38.05%

I'll start things off with Patrick Mahomes here. Mahomes is looking to have a similar performance to what we saw in the Super Bowl last year, especially this year against an Eagles defense that's really struggled against the pass. My model projects Mahomes to throw for a whopping 348.63 passing yards, 2.66 touchdowns, and just 0.4 interceptions tonight. There are a ton of narratives here: Super Bowl rematch, Andy Reid off of a bye week, etc. I think the heavyweights of the NFL come out swinging tonight.

D'Andre Swift - RB, $12,600 (DK), $13,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2023 Stats: 135 rushing attempts, 614 rushing yards, 35 targets, 30 receptions, 166 receiving yards, four touchdowns, and one fumble lost.
  • Projected Rushing DVOA: 5.43%

With that said, the Eagles will be doing absolutely everything in their power to prevent the Chiefs from swinging all over them. I think they'll take the approach of controlling the pace of the game to minimize the amount of time Mahomes and the Chiefs offense is on the field. Swift projects to 14.18 carries for 62.71 rushing yards, as well as 2.53 receptions on 3.55 targets for 15.89 yards. He's projected to score "half" of a touchdown tonight.

Other Captains/MVPs: Jalen Hurts, Rashee Rice, Travis Kelce, A.J. Brown

DFS Flex Plays

Jalen Hurts - QB, $11,000 (DK), $16,500 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2023 Stats: 2,347 passing yards, 15 touchdowns, eight interceptions, 88 rushing attempts, 316 rushing yards, seven rushing touchdowns, and three fumbles lost.
  • Projected Pass DVOA: -1.66%

The bye week could not have come at a better time for Jalen Hurts, he said as much himself. Like Mahomes, Hurts would like to have a pretty similar performance to what he had in Super Bowl 57, sans the costly fumble and of course, this time with his team on top. My model projects a down night from the Eagles' signal caller: 202.89 passing yards, 43.82 rushing yards, 1.34 passing touchdowns, and 0.41 rushing touchdowns. However, I can only see him having this "floor" type of game if this is a defensive struggle. I don't see that being the case tonight, so I expect Hurts to have a solid night.

Rashee Rice - WR, $7,400 (DK), $10,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2023 Stats: 41 targets, 32 receptions, 378 receiving yards, four touchdowns.
  • Opposing DVOA vs WR1: -8.02%

I'll take a look at one of Mahomes's pass-catchers here in Rashee Rice. As previously mentioned, the Eagles' pass defense has been extremely underwhelming, especially so relative to the 2022 season. Rice shapes up for a strong performance, projecting to 6.41 receptions, 79.02 yards, and 0.52 touchdowns on Monday Night Football. The matchup is right there for the taking, and as long as Mahomes is able to stay on his feet and get him the ball, Rice is poised to have a career game.

Other Flex Options: Travis Kelce, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith

DFS Value Plays

Justin Watson - WR, $2,400 (DK), $8,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2023 Stats: 26 targets, 14 receptions, 276 receiving yards.
  • Opposing DVOA vs WR2: 22.87%

I'll take a look at another Chiefs pass-catcher here in Justin Watson. There's been a lot of talk in recent weeks that the Chiefs' offense doesn't look right. Rightfully so, but if there was a situation to turn it around this would be it. As mentioned previously, Andy Reid has been historically great off of bye weeks, and a soft matchup against Reid's former employer would make a breakout game all the sweeter. Watson tonight projects to 2.4 receptions on 3.02 targets for 32.17 yards and 0.22 touchdowns.

Albert Okwuegbunam - TE, $400 (DK), $5,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2023 Stats: No Stats.
  • Opposing DVOA vs TE: -14.76%

I'll wrap things up with one of the newer additions to these two teams: big Albert O. The Eagles lost star tight end Dallas Goedert before the bye with an arm injury. While Albert O isn't the TE2 on the depth chart, it's worth noting that Eagles' TE2 Jack Stoll is more of a run-blocking tight end. Albert O has been one of "my guys" since he entered the league, and I say again, what a night for a breakout. He doesn't project to a whole lot tonight: 0.57 receptions on 0.74 targets for 5.44 yards and 0.04 touchdowns.  However, if he can sneak open in the red zone, he'll put you at a massive advantage in tournaments.

Other Value Plays: Kenneth Gainwell, Jack Stoll, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Julio Jones

Enjoy your week and good luck, everyone!
