Desmond Bane, 25.5 Points (LOWER)
Memphis Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane has been carrying the offensive load with Ja Morant suspended to begin the season. That said, the Miami Heat are one of the better teams at defending the perimeter. The defensive game plan will likely be to stop Bane, who is averaging 26.6 points per game. The Heat should keep Bane under 26 points tonight.
LaMelo Ball, 10.5 3's Attempted (LOWER)
Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball has been up and down to begin the 2023 season. Ball has attempted less than 11 three-pointers in five of six games this season. Ball is shooting just 31.9% from beyond the arch this year, and that inefficiency could result in fewer attempts.
Klay Thompson, 1.5 Turnovers (LOWER)
Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson is known for doing his damage without needing the ball in his hands for most of the possession. In his last five games, Thompson had multiple turnovers three times and a single turnover twice. In a game against the defending champions, Thompson should prioritize ball security.
Paul George, 20.5 Points (HIGHER)
Los Angeles Clippers forward Paul George is averaging 25.7 points per game this season. The arrival of James Harden in Los Angeles does muddy the waters for everyone's game-to-game production, but George is a focal point of the Clippers' offense. Coming off a down game, I expect George to eclipse 20 points easily in this contest.
Dennis Schroder, 22.5 Points + Assists (HIGHER)
Toronto Raptors guard Dennis Schroder is among the league leaders in assists early in the season. Schroder's starting point guard role requires great scoring and playmaking skills, which he can do. The Raptors guard is averaging 16.9 points and 8.9 assists per game this year. Schroder has reached 20 combined points and assists in five of seven games this season. The guard could eclipse this line with points alone on any given night.
Kristaps Porzingis, 1.5 3-Pointers Made (HIGHER)
Boston Celtics forward Kristaps Porzingis appears to be thriving with his new team. The Unicorn is averaging 19.5 points per game with two three-pointers made per game. Porzingis has made multiple three-pointers in three of five games this season and should do so again tonight against the Philadelphia 76ers.
