NFL DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings - Chargers vs. Jets MNF Showdown

Keenan Allen - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

John's top NFL DFS lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings - Chargers vs. Jets showdown slate on 11/6/2023. His Monday Night Football daily fantasy football advice.

Happy Monday, RotoBallers! We're back with another Monday Night Football showdown article! We have a battle of the big cities (kind of) tonight as the Los Angeles Chargers (3-4) head all the way across the country to New Jersey to take on Breece Hall, Garrett Wilson, and the New York Jets (4-3).

We have been pretty successful so far with these showdown slates and hopefully, that trend continues from last year into this year. Most of us started our fantasy journeys with football, so it's always nice when it comes around and it's always a shame for it to come to an end. Thanks to the advanced analytics of today, I'll do my best to provide you with as much in-depth analysis as possible regarding positional matchups and the like to help put some lunch money in your pocket. Let's make some coin this season gang, and let's get right to it.

I will be providing you with daily fantasy football picks on FanDuel and DraftKings for the Chargers vs. Jets NFL DFS showdown slate on November 6. These NFL DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel. If you have any questions, you can follow me on Twitter/X @LucidMediaDFS and fire away, or sign up for a premium RotoBaller NFL package and chat with me and other NFL DFS analysts at any time you'd like!

MVP/Captain Plays

Austin Ekeler - RB, $18,000 (DK), $16,500 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2023 Stats: 59 rushing attempts, 218 rushing yards, 21 targets, 16 receptions, 177 receiving yards, two touchdowns.
  • Projected Rush DVOA: -14.7%

I'll start things off tonight with Austin Ekeler. Ekeler projects to have himself a very solid night: 12.86 attempts, 53.9 rushing yards, 5.58 receptions, 39.9 receiving yards, and 0.57 touchdowns. You can see by the Chargers' projected rushing DVOA that the matchup isn't really there, but I think he's going to be very active in the passing game. The Jets' defense projects to pressure Justin Herbert 39.22% of the time, so we may see a lot of dump-offs to Ekeler in this one. If he finds the end zone, he can surely provide ample value despite his heavy price tag.

Keenan Allen - WR, $17,400 (DK), $15,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2023 Stats: 74 targets, 54 receptions, 643 receiving yards, five touchdowns.

I'll take a look at Keenan Allen next. Allen projects to catch 7.2 of his 10.26 targets for 78.7 yards and 0.37 touchdowns. The Jets defense typically plays WR1s pretty well: bringing in a -2.25% DVOA against them, but in order to move the ball through the passing game, we should see a lot of quick hitters to Allen, as well as the previously mentioned Ekeler. This is an important game for LA, and they'll need to trust in their studs to get the job done.

Other Captains/MVPs: Justin Herbert, Tyler Conklin, Garrett Wilson

DFS Flex Plays

Breece Hall - RB, $10,400 (DK), $14,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2023 Stats: 78 carries, 443 rushing yards, 27 targets, 19 receptions, 189 receiving yards, three touchdowns.
  • Projected Rush DVOA: -17.52%

I'll flip the field and look at a running back and wide receiver on the other side of the ball here, starting out with Breece Hall. Hall projects to 66.57 yards on the ground and 29.89 yards through the air as well as 0.62 projected touchdowns. I could write up a very similar blurb for Hall as I did with Ekeler, eyeing a lot of receptions to capitalize on the dump-off floor, as Zach Wilson is projected to be pressured at an alarming 45.22% of the time. Ekeler is a more proven pass-catcher out of the backfield, which is why I'll be looking at him at the 1.5x spot over Hall but will certainly have shares of both.

Garrett Wilson - WR, $9,600 (DK), $13,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2023 Stats: 68 targets, 39 receptions, 469 receiving yards, two touchdowns.

I'll take a look at Garrett Wilson next. Wilson's catch-to-target ratio is frankly horrid, but luckily he's projected for some positive regression tonight. He projects to 6.22 receptions on 9.1 targets for 86.71 receiving yards and 0.49 touchdowns. There's a very real scenario where the Chargers could come out shooting, gathering an early lead. If that's the case, it will be imperative for Wilson and the Jets to move the ball down the field and keep New York in it.

Other Flex Options: Justin Herbert, Zach Wilson

DFS Value Plays

Cameron Dicker - K, $4,600 (DK), $8,500 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2023 Stats: 11/12 field goals made/attempted, 19/19 extra points made/attempted

I'll start my value plays with Dicker the kicker. I had just mentioned with Garrett Wilson there's a chance that the Chargers jump out to an early lead. There's also a chance they do not and struggle to find the red zone (and more importantly, the end zone) early on. I think this is a prime opportunity for Dicker to knock some 40+ yard field goals down early and get you a nice head start in your lineups.

Tyler Conklin - TE, $3,000 (DK), $7,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2023 Stats: 29 targets, 20 receptions, 227 receiving yards.

I typically wrap up a Chargers showdown slate with Gerald Everett. I'll be doing the opposite in this one, wrapping up with Tyler Conklin. Conklin projects 3.28 receptions on 4.45 targets for 33.02 receiving yards and 0.18 touchdowns. Conklin has a strong matchup here, as the Chargers rank 32nd in receptions and 31st in receiving yards against the tight end position tonight. I'll have some "hedge" lineups with C.J. Uzomah tonight, but I'll definitely be taking a look at the Jets tight ends tonight.

Other Value Plays: Donald Parham Jr., C.J. Uzomah, Greg Zuerlein

Enjoy your week and good luck, everyone!
