Welcome, RotoBallers! My name is Sean Goodwin, also known as "Goody". In this article, I will suggest some potential waiver wire adds that will help your fantasy team win your matchup this week, if you were able to grab any of the players from last week's article you did well.
I will give you an option at forward, defense, and a goalie who might be available on your waiver wire. Be sure to also check out our awesome NHL tools, including our Lineup Optimizer, Research Station, Projections, and DFS Cheat Sheets! Use promo code "GOODY" to save 10% today.

NHL Waiver Wire Adds: 10/23 to 10/29
I will be looking for players who have possibly been moved up in the lineup, have a favorable schedule this week, or might be getting a boost because of injury.
DISCLOSURE: Make sure to monitor the NHL news feeds for the latest player status and injury news.
NHL Waiver Wire Goalies
Joseph Woll
Opponents this week - Los Angeles, Boston, Buffalo
The Toronto Maple Leafs starting goaltender is currently Woll, and I believe that he will continue to perform well in this position. Surprisingly, only 44.8% of ESPN leagues have recognized his potential. So far, he has only allowed 5 goals in 4 games and has saved 122 out of 127 shots, resulting in an outstanding .961 save percentage. Unless you have a strong goaltender roster, Woll would be my top recommendation for a waiver wire claim this week!
Other options
- Jonas Johansson ESPN rostered 52.5%
NHL Waiver Wire Forwards
Opponents - Vancouver, Seattle, Edmonton
O'Reilly is an incredibly valuable addition to any fantasy team, especially if your league rewards players for hits and blocked shots. Currently, he is only rostered in 35% of ESPN leagues. O'Reilly has already scored 4 goals, provided two assists, and taken 17 shots, in addition to registering 8 hits and 9 blocks through 8 games. He is also the centering player for the Preds top line and serves as the net-front presence on their powerplay. Therefore, if you are looking to add depth to your forwards, I highly recommend prioritizing O'Reilly.

John Tortorella on Travis Sanheim: "You know I'm up his ass here last year, he's in trade talks. His skill level hasn't changed, his skating hasn't changed, what he has changed is his mindset. He has shown us from day one he was going to take control, and he's done it.

NHL Waiver Wire Defensemen
Travis Sanheim
Opponents - Carolina, Buffalo x2, Los Angeles
Sanheim is a must-add to your team, especially if your defense is a little thin. It's quite shocking to see that he's only rostered in 45.7% of ESPN leagues. Sanheim is the top defenseman for the Philadelphia Flyers and a major reason for their improved performance this season. He has already scored 8 points in 8 games, along with 21 shots and 14 blocks. Sanheim is a starter for your team every night, and it's surprising that more people haven't noticed. Furthermore, his Time On Ice (TOI) has increased by 5 minutes compared to his career average, which is a testament to his skill and potential. So, it's clear that Torts knows he has a horse and will use him as such for the Flyers!
Other Options
- Mario Ferraro ESPN rostered 4.7% (Apparently not enough people read last week's waiver wire article)
