NFL DFS Lineup Sleepers for DraftKings, FanDuel - Week 5 Value Picks Include Matthew Stafford, Breece Hall, Marquise Brown, Zach Ertz ,

Breece Hall - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Dawn's NFL DFS sleepers for DraftKings, FanDuel and Week 5 (2023). Her value picks and lineup sleepers for building winning daily fantasy football lineups.

We're on to week 5, RotoBallers, and we're here to guide you through the fifth week of the season and find the sneakiest sleeper values to help you take down your favorite contest. If you're playing cash games, you don't have to have the top QB or RB of the week. But in Guaranteed Prize Pool's (GPP's)? The best way to go is to focus on players with the highest potential upside for their DFS price.

This article will run every week throughout the regular season. It won't include the obvious choices but instead players who appear to be undervalued in current DFS formats. As the values currently sit, players will qualify as a value in DFS (based on DraftKings salaries) for this article if they are a quarterback in the 5k range, running backs who are 6k or less, wide receivers at 5.5k and under, and 4k or less for tight ends. When it comes to tournaments, stacking our quarterback with one of their pass catchers is a must.

It's crucial to prioritize players with higher guaranteed floors and consistency to increase our chances of winning cash games. No matter which game you choose, these picks will come in handy. So, without further ado, let's dive in!

Quarterback NFL DFS Value Plays - Week 5

Daniel Jones, NYG @ MIA | DK: $5,800, FD: $7,500

Jones isn't playing at his best, but he's going up against the Miami Dolphins tomorrow afternoon, and the Fins have the 25th-ranked pass-defense in the NFL, allowing 251 yards per game. Jones has a high ceiling, and with Saquon Barkley questionable to play this Sunday, his legs will work as hard as his arm.

As we've seen, Miami has the ability to run the score, and if the Giants are going to keep pace, they could score more points than their (current) team projected 17 points.

Matthew Stafford, LAR vs PHI | DK: $5,600, FD: $6,800

Before his injury, Stafford completed 70% of his passes and was on pace for 4,475 passing yards. I assume he will play on Sunday, and while we can't yet confirm he'll have his security blanket, AKA Cooper Kupp, he'll have other weapons at his disposal, including Puka Nacua and Tutu Atwell.

Philly comes to SoFi Stadium with the NFL's 27th-ranked passing defense, allowing over 1,000 yards and nine touchdowns. The Rams have the NFL's No. 2 passing offense, and with the possibility of this game going over 50 points, Stafford could be up for a big game.

Running Back NFL DFS Value Plays - Week 5

James Conner, ARI vs CIN | DK: $5,800, FD: $6,500

The Bengal's defense has struggled against opposing running backs this season, ranking sixth in the league for the most rushing yards allowed. On the flip side, James Conner has been a standout performer, averaging an impressive 16 fantasy points per game. He has emerged as the focal point of the Cardinals' offense, showcasing consistent improvement week by week, with an impressive 5.2 yards per carry over the course of three games. So far, Conner has accumulated 318 rushing yards and found the end zone twice this season.

On the defensive side, the Bengals have allowed two players to rush for over 100 yards and three different opponents to score rushing touchdowns this season. This sets the stage for Conner and the Cardinals to potentially exploit Cincinnati's defensive weaknesses in their upcoming matchup.

Breece Hall, NYJ @ DEN | DK: $5,400, FD: $6,500

Hall's impressive track record in Denver last season, before his unfortunate ACL injury, adds to the intrigue of this matchup. The fact that the Broncos currently boast the league's weakest rushing defense, conceding an average of 176 yards per game, further highlights the potential for a standout performance. It's worth noting that Hall's return to Denver, nearly a year after his injury, carries added significance, potentially fueling his motivation to excel.

Isiah Pacheco, KC @ MIN | DK: $5,700, FD: $6,600

Isiah Pacheco emerges as the primary choice in the Kansas City Chiefs' backfield, set to head up their ground game against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, October 8. The Vikings maintain the 15th-ranked run defense, allowing an average of 111.3 yards per game. Pacheco presents a compelling fantasy football option for several reasons.

First, the Chiefs' backfield has proven to be a generous source of fantasy points, offering great value. Secondly, facing the 15th-ranked run defense in the Vikings provides an opportunity for Pacheco to make an impact.

Wide Receiver NFL DFS Value Plays - Week 5

Marquise Brown, ARI vs CIN | DK: $5,000, FD: $6,400

I do not enjoy targeting the Cardinals, but the Bengals have the 14th-ranked pass defense, allowing 207.3 yards per game. Brown averages 5.3 receptions and 59.8 yards per game, with two touchdowns, and has caught 14 passes for 143 yards. Brown and the Cardinals have surpassed expectations this season, and regardless of the direction the front office wants to go, the players want to play, and they want to win.

Rashee Rice, KC @ MIN | DK: $3,600, FD: $5,000

Rice is a great value this week, with Kansas City going to Minnesota and the game's over/under of 52.5. The Vikings' pass defense isn't their strong suit, currently ranked 21st in the league, and they concede the highest number of fantasy points to wide receivers. Additionally, Rice's involvement has increased steadily throughout the season, as he's been logging more snaps. At $3,600 on DraftKings, he's a sneaky, value wide-receiver this week.

Wan'Dale Robinson, NYG @ MIA | DK: $3,000, FD: $5,400

At $3,000 on DraftKings, Robinson makes for a compelling, yet chalky, DFS choice for a few reasons. He's likely to see lots of targets against the Dolphins, who employ a zone-heavy coverage scheme and have the 25th-ranked passing defense in the league. Robinson recorded target totals of 13, eight, six, and three in the four games where he received starter-level snaps. His price tag will allow for paying up in other spots, so the chalk may be worth the squeeze in this case.

Tight End NFL DFS Value Plays - Week 5

Dallas Goedert, PHI @ LAR | DK: $4,200, FD: $5,500

This game might be Goedert's big break, setting him up for a hot streak. The Rams' cornerbacks have done well lately, so teams have been turning to tight ends more often when playing against them. However, the Rams' defense has given up a decent amount of receiving yards to tight ends, which puts them at 11th in the league.

They're also letting tight ends gain pretty hefty yards per catch, which is the third-highest in the league. At $4,200, this game could be where Goedert gets his groove back and offers good value for your money.

Zach Ertz, ARI vs CIN | DK: $3,500, FD: $5,100

The Cardinals' tight end looks set for a strong Week 5 performance against the Cincinnati Bengals. Ertz has built a solid connection with Josh Dobbs this year and will likely find open spaces against Cincinnati. No one has cracked 100 receiving yards against the Bengals this season, but they've given up six touchdown passes. That could be where Ertz and the Cardinals capitalize and at $3,500, it's a great value spot at the tight end position.
