Introducing Doug Shain
As you can tell from the byline, my name is Doug Shain. Please indulge me for a moment as I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself, my fantasy experience, and my plans for the NHL coverage at RotoBaller.
Along with Sean Goodwin, who will be joining me in our endeavors, we intend to use our unique perspective on NHL DFS to make RotoBaller the top destination for fantasy players who want to learn to dominate NHL DFS.
I have been playing various fantasy sports for years, and have been covering NHL DFS for nine years. I’ve received numerous FSWA nominations, including DFS Writer of the Year and a win for NHL Writer of the Year.
For the past five years I ran my own site, and our members saw massive success in cash and GPP games. Our community compiled wins totaling tens of thousands of dollars in NHL alone. These wins included countless tournament takedowns, live finals appearances, and many $1000-plus wins. Sean and I have personally had our share of success, with each of us taking down multiple tournaments with top prizes of over $1000.
What Can We Expect?
Expect to see articles on the nights with the biggest slates, as well as daily “Heat Maps” that will help you hone in on the best plays for every main slate. The Heat Map is an essential tool that shows you the stacks you’ll want and the value plays you’ll need to beat the field and stack that cash; it’s the resource that sets us apart.
The key to our Heat Maps is that we focus on specific, unique data that leads us to the stacks with the biggest bang for the buck. It’s structured with color coding that allows you to easily identify which matchups to target and which ones to avoid.
The articles will elaborate on the plays in the Heat Map and will provide you with strategies to improve your NHL DFS gameplay. Your wins won’t be far behind.
