Kyle Wright Throws First Bullpen Session
Kyle Wright (shoulder) felt good after throwing his first bullpen session on Friday, and he's still hoping he can return in early September. Wright threw off a mound on Friday for the first time since he suffered a right-shoulder strain at the beginning of May, but he still has a ways to go before he can return to Atlanta's starting rotation. Even if the 27-year-old is able to return when he hopes, he won't have much time to contribute in fantasy. Wright won a league-high 21 games in 2022 and posted a career-low 3.19 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 30 starts, but he had a 5.79 ERA (4.46 FIP), 1.77 WHIP, 10 walks and 20 strikeouts in 18 2/3 innings over five starts before his shoulder injury earlier this year.
